"I stopped off in the attic on the way back." Dad said as we orbed in.
"I gotta tell you, Leo, whatever Chris has against you in the future, it can't be your lack of determination." Phoebe said.
"Still, you might not be in this mess if I hadn't been gone so long."
"Well, you have to do what you have to do." Paige said.
"My god, Leo, can't you think of anything but yourself?" Phoebe suddenly snapped.
"Phoebe." Paige said.
"Where did that come from?" I asked.
"Yeah, that was kind of weird." Phoebe said.
"Yeah."
"You totally bailed on us."
"What the hell?" Paige said.
"Okay, I think maybe I'm channelling Chris's anger?"
"But he's in the basement. Can you empath from so far away?" Dad asked.
"I don't know, maybe my powers are expanding."
"Or he's closer than we think."
We ran into the parlor and found Chris. He didn't look so good.
"No!" Phoebe yelled and Chris shot webs towards here sticking her to the wall by her wrists. Paige threw a potion at Chris and he covered it in webbing, then he stuck Paige to the wall by her wrists. Dad ran in and saw everything.
"Chris, stop, this isn't you." He said.
"Wanna bet?" Chris pushed Dad against the wall.
"Chris, don't." I said and he looked over at me, as if I hadn't been there.
"He's your father." Paige said. Then Chris threw him up the stairs and stuck him to the wall with spider webs. He walked over to Mom and went to or out with her.
"Chris no!" I went to stop him but he flung me back and against the wall. Then he orbed out with mom.
"Bug spray, we should have used bug spray." Paige said.
I walked over to Phoebe and tried to get her out.
"KC don't-" I was suddenly flung back again.
"Ok. That wasn't my smartest idea." I said getting up. "Can you orb?"
"No, I tried." Paige said.
"Damn it." Dad said.
"Are Elders even allowed to swear?"
" No, but fathers are. Especially ones whose kid tries to kill him."
"Well, technically you can't die." Phoebe said.
"It's not the point."
"Well, it wasn't Chris, Leo, it was a demon." Paige said.
"No, some of it was Chris, I saw it in his eyes."
"I think he's right. I think that's why he can still orb. He can be saved." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, well, can we?" Paige asked.
"Maybe with a little luck." I looked over where Phoebe was looking and saw a shillelagh.
"Shillelagh." Paige said and the shillelagh orbed and tappedf on the floor three times. A rainbow appeared and then a leprechaun did.
"Somebody called." He said.
"Hey, over here." Paige said and he looked over and started laughing.
" Now there's something you don't see everyday."
"Yeah, thanks a lot. Can you just get us down from here, please?"
"I can try, but as you know, luck can go either way. Good or bad. Take your chances."
"Yeah, well, we'll take our chances." Phoebe said.
"Can't get to much worse at this point." I said and crossed my arms.
" Very well. Slainte is tainte!" He used his gold and the Paige fell from the wall and landed on a table, smashing it. Riley chuckled. "I tried to warn you, love."
"Ok. One problem down. Now Chris and Mom." I said.

"I don't understand why this isn't working. Maybe I have the wrong wizard." Dad said as he was scrying.
"No it's the right one." I said.
"Maybe there's just nothing to find." Phoebe said. "Leo, you gotta stop beating yourself up over this, okay. It's not your fault."
"I just, I don't understand why he hates me so much."
"Yeah, but Leo, it's in the future, it hasn't happened yet, so you can change it."
"If Chris lives long enough to tell me what to change. Why am I scrying for the wizard? The demon has Piper, I should be scrying for her."
" Here, use her keys." Phoebe grabbed Mom's keys and handed them to Dad. He continued to scry. The crystal pointed to a place on the map.
"Got her."
"Okay, I'll take the antidote, you take the vanquishing potion. Paige!"
"Mom didn't bless it." I said.
"It's all we've got."
"But we need the power of three. How are we gonna make up for Piper?" Dad asked. Then Paige walked in with a nymph, fairy and ogre following her.
"Well, how about with a little help from our friends." She said. Everyone kinda just looked at her.
"Ok." I said.

We got the demon lair and the ogre threw a rock at the cave entrance and the cave's force field sent the rock flying back to the ogre. He caught it easily.
"Nice catch." Paige said.
"Thank you." The ogre said.
"So wait, we can't get in?" Phoebe asked.
"No, it's impenetrable." Dad said.
"Great plan."
"Well, maybe we can draw her out?" I said.
"How's that?" Dad asked.
"I could just knock." The ogre said.
"Good thinking." Phoebe said.
He knocked on the cave until she came out.
"You're pissing me off, you know." She said.
"Yeah, that's the idea." Paige said.
"You think you can take me? Without your sister?"
"We're just gonna have to see." Paige said.
"Now!" I yelled and the fairy flew in front of the spider demon's face. She swatted her away and hit Paige across the face and Paige fell to the ground. Phoebe kicked the spider demon. Then nymph came out of the bushes and threw the potion at the spider demon. It missd when she turned into a spider.
"Step on her." Paige said.
The ogre stepped on the spider and squished her into the ground.
"That's gross." Phoebe said.
"Sorry." The ogre said.
"Give me the antidote." Paige said getting up.
"No." Dad said. "This is my responsibility." Then he walked inside the cave. Shortly after Mom orbed next to us.
"Oh, hey, welcome back." Paige said.
"Where's Leo?" Phoebe asked.
We looked over to see Chris block the cave door with spider webs. Mom tried to blow iot up but nothing worked.
"I can't get through that thing." She said.
"You want me to try knocking again?" the ogre asked.
"Uh, I don't think that's gonna work this time." Phoebe said.
" That's okay, we'll take it from here." Paige said.
"Are you sure?" The nymph asked.
"Yeah, we're positive. But thanks for everything." Then the nymph, ogre and fairy disappear.
"I told you guys not to bring Leo here." Mom said.
"I think he just saved your life." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, at his expense, and maybe Chris's too."
Paige started to rub her neck.
"Paige, you should take the antidote." Phoebe said.
"No, no, I'm fine. It didn't even break my skin, it just hurts." Paige said.
" Yeah, but still."
"No, we need to save it for Chris."
"Paige."
"Ow." Mom said holding her side.
"What's the matter?" I asked.
"Kidney shot."
"Maybe he's trying to tell you something." Phoebe said.
" Maybe he is. Give me that." Mom said motioning to the potion.
" What? Why?"
"So I can take it."
"What?" Paige and I asked.
" You've been saying whatever happens to little Chris happens to big Chris, and that's what you've been so worried about."
" So?"
'So if I take this, then the baby's inoculated and Chris is just fine, right?"
"Do you follow that?" Paige asked Phoebe and me.
"Not a word." Phoebe said and shook my head.
"Just give it to me." Mom snatched the antidote from Phoebe and drank it. Then the door opened up and we went inside.
We went inside and saw Chris beating the crap out of dad.
"Chris, no!" Mom said and rushed over to Chris. "Chris! Chris, look at me!" She pulled him away from dad. "It's okay. It's over."
Then Chris left.

(Chris' POV)-
I was sitting on top of the Golden Gate Bridge thinking when Leo orbed in.
"Can we talk?" He asked.
"There's nothing to talk about."
"I think there is. Quite a bit, actually."
"It doesn't matter."
"It does to me, Chris. You're my son. I think I deserve to know what I did that's so bad."
"You were never there for me. You were there for everybody else. For mom, Wyatt, half the world, you were even there for KC in your spare time, and she doesn't even really remember anything about you, but you were never there for me. You didn't have the time.
"So maybe you came back from the future not just to save Wyatt, maybe you came back to save us too."
"I doubt it." Then I orbed out.

(KC's POV)-
Paige took me to magic school so I could get a few books to read. I changed into my pajamas and started reading when there was knock on my door.
"Come in." Then Dad walked in.
"It's kind of late isn't it?"
"I was just reading."
"Reading huh?" He came over and sat on the bed. "Watcha reading?"
"About some kind of ancient magic." He gave me a weird book.
"Don't you read fairy tales? Adventures? Stuff like that?"
"For as long as I could remember the only stories like that were the ones Grandpa and Chris told me. And Chris sucks at telling stories."
"Your mom and I never read you anything?"
"You did, I just don't remember. I don't remember a lot of things. I wasn't allowed to."
"So how come you don't like reading anything fiction?"
"I wasn't allowed to do that either. If I read something it was about magic, or some kind of force. I was under strict guidance."
"Why?"
"Long story?"
"Ok, well how about tomorrow we go to the book store. Get you some good stories to read."
"Ok." I smiled and so he smiled back.
"Well, get some sleep. ok?"
"Alright." I set the book on the nightstand and got under the covers.
"Goodnight KC."
"Goodnight Daddy." He smiled before turning off the light and leaving the room.
I laid down and smiled. I had the family I wanted. Even if I didn't belong in this time, it felt good to finally have one.
