Chris' Little Sister

Chapter 21

Chris orbed us into the kitchen when he heard Phoebe call him.
"Hey. So how's it going?" He asked.
"Not so good." Paige said.
"What do you mean? What does she mean?"
"We're running out of ideas." Phoebe said.
" Well, that's too bad because it has to happen today or I don't happen."
"Wait, today?"
"Yeah. I did the math. And if I'm not conceived by midnight tonight, that's it. I won't be born, which means I won't be coming back from the future to warn you about Wyatt turning evil. KC may not even be born, if she is she'll be by herself and she'l be turned evil by Wyatt."
"Yeah, see that time travel thing. Ooh."
"Hey, what about making a love potion and just, like, slipping it to them."
"No, we're not tricking your parents." Paige said.
"Why not? I'm desperate."
"Hey, look, I have an idea. Call me crazy, but why don't we just tell them the truth?" Phoebe said.
"Sure, let's give them a massive case of performance anxiety." Paige said.
"Plus who knows what that reaction would be like." I said and they looked at me. "What? How would you take it if someone came up to you, that you don't like very much I might add, and said 'Hey Leo, Piper, I know you don't like me very much but I'm really your youngest son and unless you guys do something I won't exist.'"
"Yeah see that's a good point." Chris said.
"We're already out of options." Phoebe said.
"And time."
Then we heard a crash.
"KC stay here." Chris said as they all ran out of the room. I didn't listen adn followed anyways. When I got there a darklighter arrow almost hit Chris, but Phoebe pushes him out of the way and Paige orbed it into the darklighter and he left.
"Thanks for saving my life." Chris said. "Let's hope it wasn't for nothing."

"Think now's a good time to tell them?" Chris said as I walked in the room.
"No. The sooner we take care of the darklighter, the sooner we make you." Paige said.
"I'm gonna start scrying." Phoebe said and left the room.
"And I will go start the love potion." Paige said.
"Wait, I thought you were against making the love potion?" Chris asked.
"Not if it's gonna save one of my two favourite nephews."
"I'll help. I'm good with potions." I said following her.

I was on my way to the attic when I heard the girls talking and stopped.
"I thought you were making a love potion?"Phoebe asked.
"I am." Paige said.
"Then why did it blow up?"
"Maybe I'm trying too hard."
"Or maybe it just wasn't meant to be." I heard someone stop behind me and saw Chris.
"Phoebe."
"Come on, you weren't thinking the exact same thing?"
"No. Okay, fine, but for like a second. The point is Chris is meant to be."
"But not if he changed too much by coming here. You know, messed up his own timeline."
"We're talking about his very existence."
'Paige, I know, but there's only so much we can do. Especially now with that Darklighter out there. I just think that we have to face the reality that Chris's destiny might have been just to come here and warn us about Wyatt, and that's all." Then Chris walked in the attic and I followed him.
"Hey."
"Oh my god, Chris, I'm so sorry."
"No, it's okay. I've actually been wondering the same thing." Chris said.
"You have?" Paige said.
"Yeah. I've had the strangest feeling, like, I don't know, it's really hard to explain. But it feels like I'm, I'm floating, like I'm not really here, you know?"
"Well, that doesn't sound good." Phoebe said.
"Well, you have to fight it, we still have time." Paige said.
"Not much." Chris said. I grabbed his hand and he looked down at me. Then the scrying crystal stopped at a point on the map and spun around on the spot.
"I've never seen it do that before." Paige said.
"Maybe that means there's more than one? I'll go get Piper." Phoebe said and left the room.
"I'll go too." Chris said.
"No, you stay here, okay. Finish the potion, when we come back your parents will be in the mood." Chris nodded and then Paige left too.
I went to get the potion done.
"What are you doing?" Chris asked.
"I'll make this potion as many times as I have to." I said getting the things I needed.
"KC. There's only one way I'm gonna make it."
"Well this has to work!" I felt the tears coming to my eyes. "I can't lose you. I can't do this by myself." He walked over and hugged me.
"You'll be ok. I promise."

The potion blew up again.
"It's fine KC. We'll find another way." Then I saw Chris' hand start to become see through.
"Chris!" He looked and stood up.
"Damn it." He muttered and we heard the girls come back. He hurried down stairs and I followed him.
"Uh, Phoebe, Paige?" He said as we went down the stairs.
"Chris, you're okay." Paige said.
"Which means Piper and Leo are okay." Phoebe said.
"Well, I don't know about that but I'm, uh, definitely running out of time here." Chris held up his arm which was slowly fading away.

I was helping Paige and Phoebe set up so they could try and contact Piper and Leo.
"Sorry, I don't mean to be pushy but..."
"Yeah, we're working on it, we're working on it." Phoebe said inturpting Chris.
"You don't look so good. Okay. "Sister's spirit I call to thee, cross on over so we may see."" Paige said and Chris disappeared
"Wait, that wasn't supposed to happen, was it?" Phoebe said.
"I don't think so." I said. Then he appeared again. "Thank God."
"What happened? Where'd you go?" Phoebe asked.
"I just saw Piper and Leo. They think somebody made a portal for the darklighter to pass through."
"Somebody who?" Paige said.
"Darklighters!" I turned around and saw two darklighter.
Phoebe jumped behind the couch when they shot an arrow at her.
"Paige!" Phoebe yelled and Paige grabbed me and went behind the couch. Phoebe and Paige threw potions at the darklighters, vanquishing them.
"Piper's not here anymore, I can't sense her." Phoebe said.
"It's too late, and not just for Piper and Leo. Take care guys." I looked at Chris with tears in my eyes.
"Chris? No! You promised!" I felt the tears pouring out quick now.
"I'm sorry KC. I love you." Then he disappeared.
"No!" I fell to my knees and started crying.
I can't do this alone. No please Chris, come back!
"KC." Paige said.
"We have to save Piper and Leo, before KC goes too." Phoebe said.
"We'll be back KC." Paige said and they left.
"You promised." I hugged my knees to my chest and let the tears fall.

"KC come on we know how to get them back." Paige said when they got back. I got up and she grabbedmy hand.
We arrived at the alley where they disappeared.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you because this time I'll vanquish you for real." Paige said as we saw the darklighter nad mom and dad appear.
"Well, it's about time." mom said.
"Who sent you? Phoebe asked. Then suddenly an arrow went through the darklighter's chest and he was vanquished. I looked over and saw Chris was back.
"Yes! I'm back!" He said and put his hands in the air.
"Chris!: I yelled and ran at him. He hugged me and picked me up. "I thought you were gone." I said and a few tears fell down my face.
"I'm here."
"Wait. What? How is that possible?" Phoebe asked.
"Don't ask me, ask-" Dad fell backwards. "Them."
"Paige, come on, quick, we've got to get him to Gideon." Mom said and Paige orbed out with mom and dad.

Later I was sitting on my bed, looking out the window. I couldn't sleep. I heard the door open and thought it was Chris.
"KC?" I looked over and saw Mom.
"They told you?" I asked her and she nodded her head.
"Yeah. They did." She walked over and sat next to me. "I guess now, I feel horrible for all the things that have happened latly, between Chris and I. They affected you too. And I'm sorry."
"It's ok. It was nice, getting to know what it's like to have a Mom. I don't really see family very often in the future."
"Why is that?"
"It's nothing to worry about."
"Well I'm glad I have a daughter as smart and brave as you." I smiled.
"Chris always told me that you'd be proud of me. After Wyatt took actions against everyone, Chris fought to keep me good, and I did. You should be more proud of him than anything."
"I'm proud of both of you." I looked at her and smiled.
"Thank you."
"Get some sleep." She hugged me and left the room. I laid down and went to sleep.
