Chris' Little Sister

Chapter 17

"Hurry, before he finds us." Chris mumbled and I went to sit next to him.
"Paige, Phoebe, get back here right now, that's an order." Leo yelled. Then Piper walked in all dressed up.
"Wyatt's sleeping and the monitor's in the kitchen."
"Piper, but you can't go anywhere. What about Chris?" Leo asked.
"Wish me luck." She said before leaving. Then Bianca shimmered in and kicked Leo in the head.
"Leo!" Bianca walked over to Chris and I
"Come on, we're going home." Then she shimmered out with us.
Bianca took us to an apartment and she finished stripping Chris' whitelighter powers.
"Just let me finish what I started. You'll feel better soon, I promise. That's it. Easy does it." Then she pulled her hand out of his chest. "Slow breaths."
"What'd you do to me?" Chris asked.
"I just saved your life."
"By taking away my powers?" Chris sat up and Bianca walked over to a wall and pulled off a picture frame. She then started drawing on the wall with chalk like we did before. "How are you gonna bring me back, anyway? That spell's a one-way door. It only goes backwards in time."
"He created a new spell because of you. One that works both ways."
"I'm touched."
"You should be. He's gone to a lot of trouble to get you back."
"Yeah, I see that. He doesn't even care about me, it's KC he wants back.
"You know, you don't have to believe me, Chris, but this really is for the best."
"Oh, really? How's that?"
"Because this is your only chance to live. If I fail, he'll just keep sending more assassins back and all they'll have to bring home for you is a body. KC'll be all alone with him.
"Doesn't matter. There's nothing left in the future anymore, anyway." Chris said and put the engagement ring on the table. He was trying to get her to reconsider, I could tell.

(Flashback KC's POV)
"It's time." Bianca said as we finished the symbol.
"I don't wanna go. I don't wanna leave you." Chris said as she walked over to him.
"Here." She said giving him the engagment ring. "This will remind you of why we're doing this, what's waiting for you here. You're the only ones who can do this." The she hugged him.
"Just make sure you take care of the guards, okay? Then get out of here. Because if he finds you, if he knows you betrayed him, he'll kill you."
"Don't worry. I can take care of myself."
They walked over to the hologram of the Book of Shadows. Chris pulled out the summoning spell.
"I call upon the ancient power, to help us in this darkest hour, let the book return to this place, claim refuge in its rightful space." The Book of Shadows appeared on its stand. "It worked."
"It was KC's spell, course. The spell, find the spell." Chris began flipping through the book and found the spell.
""Hear these words, hear the rhyme, heed the hope within my mind, send me back to where I'll find, what I wish in place and time." The portal opened behind me and Chris walked up to me. "Ready?" He asked me.
"Chris I'm scared. What if he comes after us? He'll hurt you!" I said.
"KC it's fine. He'll never find us. I promise."
"Maybe I should stay. Things'll be worse if I go too. If he catches us he'll hurt me again, then you ten times worse for taking me with."
"Come on KC we can do this." He knelt down to look at me and grabbed my hands. "We're the only one's who can."
"I know it's just..."
I looked down at the wooden floor unsure if I should go, then at Bianca who was watching us.
"Promise you'll be alright?" I asked. She nodded her head.
"I promise KC. Now hurry. You don't have much time." She said. I looked back at Chris.
"Ready?" He asked. I shook my head yes, still unsure. He turned around and I jumped on his back. As we were about to go through the portal demon shimmers in behind Bianca and grabbed her.
"Bianca!" Chris yelled. She started fighting him off.
"Go! Go!" She yelled at us. Then Chris ran into the portal with me on his back.

"You really expect me to jump into this thing like before?" Chris asked.
"Not without a fight, no." Bianca said.
"How can you be so cold? How can you just stand there and pretend like we never meant anything to each other."
"I don't have a choice."
"Bianca, please don't do this. Don't give up on everything that we fought for."
"I'm not. I'm just hoping we can find another way. Ready?" She looked at Chris and me. Then Piper, Phoebe, and Paige orbed in.
"Hey, future girl." Piper said and threw a potion towards Bianca. Bianca threw a dagger and smashed the bottle in mid-air. She shimmered out and Piper froze the dagger. Bianca shimmered back beside Piper, grabbed the dagger and held it against Piper's throat. I went to stop her when Chris grabbed a hold of me.
"You were saying?" Bianca said.
"Wow, she is good." Phoebe said. Paige moved towards Piper.
"Uh-uh. I can kill her in half the time it takes you to even think about it."
"Yeah, we still have enough potion to vanquish you." Paige said.
"Maybe. But then you really will have to hope the power of two will do. Won't you, Paige? You'd be surprised what's in the history books. Now put the viles down slowly." Bianca said.
"Bianca, don't. Let her go and I promise we'll go with you." Chris said.
"Bianca please!"
"What are you guys doing?" Paige asked.
"If you kill her, there won't be a future for anyone of us to go back to and you know it." Chris said.
"What are you talking about?" Phoebe asked, looking at us.
"You'll see if you live long enough."
Bianca walked back over and Chris grabbed my hand.
"Piper, freeze them." Paige said and she tried.
"Uh, okay, I get why the girls didn't freeze but why didn't he freeze?"
"I don't- Unless he's a..." Phoebe said.
"I'm a witch too. That's right. Part witch, part Whitelighter. Just like you, Paige." Chris said.
"You lied to us?" Paige said.
"I had to. It was the only way I could get you to trust me."
"Trust you?" Phoebe said.
"Never mind, it doesn't matter anyway."
" So that's it? You're just gonna leave?" Piper said.
" I don't have a choice. She strip my powers. Looks like Leo's gonna have to fix that floorboard without me. Let's go." He looked at Bianca. She waved her arm and the portal opened, and we walked through it.

We arrived back at the manor, where we left for the past. Six demons are waiting for us.
"Welcome home, Chris. KC." His voice said from behind the demons.
The demons parted and he came into the light.
"Hello, Wyatt." Chris said.
They just stared at each other for a while before Wyatt spoke again.
"They're no threat to me." Then the demons shimmered out. "Et tu, Chris? Of all the people to betray me. And you even went so far as to take KC with you."
"I didn't go back to betray you, Wyatt. I went back to save you."
"Save me? From what?"
"From whatever evil it was that turned you."
"That's always been your problem, Chris. Stuck in the old good versus evil morass. I'm so past that. It's all about power, it's as simple as that."
"And whoever has the most power wins, is that it?" Chris pushed me back a little, away from Wyatt.
"That's it. That's why I keep this museum in tact. To remind everyone the power from which I was born and that which I possess."
"Too bad the rest of the city isn't fairing as well as your little shrine here."
" You know if anyone else tried what you tried, I'd kill them on the spot. But you... I've forgiven Bianca, I can forgive you too. If you promise never cross me again."
"I think you know me better than that." That's when Wyatt got mad.
"I thought you said you could talk some sense into him." He yelled at Bianca.
"Leave her out of this." Chris said. Wyatt raised his arm and Chris started choking.
"Pardon me?"
"Stop it!" I yelled and Wyatt flicked his hand and sent Chris flying across the room. "Chris!" Chris smashed right into a table.
"You, KC, stay right there." Wyatt said when I took a step towards Chris. "I'll deal with you later." Hearing him say that sent shivers down my back. I took a few steps back from him and looked at Chris.
"You promised you wouldn't hurt them!" Bianca said.
"You promised you'd turn him. It's like I turned you, or at least I thought I had." Bianca ran over to Chris.
"Chris, please, I didn't bring you here to die."
"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing." He looked at Wyatt. "I think."
Then Chris ran towards Wyatt and Wyatt grabbed him and threw him across the room.
"Chris!" I yelled.
"Have you lost your mind?" Wyatt levitated Chris into the air and against the roof. "I don't need you." Wyatt created an energy ball. This time he planned on actually killing Chris.
"Wyatt no! Please!" I ran over to him and tried to get his arm down but he just shoved me off.
Bianca ran up behind Wyatt and reached into his back, causing him to drop Chris.
"Whatever you're gonna do, do it fast. I can't hold him for long."
Chris raced over to the squeaky floorboard and pulled it up. He grabbed a piece of paper and read from it.
""Powers of witches rise, come to me across the skies, return my magic, give me back, all those taken from the attack." A blue light washed over Chris. Wyatt broke free and turned around and kicked Bianca. She lands on a broken table leg.
"No!" Chris and I yelled. Chris waved his arm and Wyatt was thrown across the room. Chris rushed to Bianca's side.
"Bianca. No, no, no, no."
"Haven't we been here before?" She said painfully.
"Maybe we will be again."
"Maybe."
" No." Bianca handed her engagement ring back to Chris.
" If you can finish what we started... " I heard Wyatt groan and looked over at him. He was starting to wake up.
"Chris." I said backing up towards the wall.
"Hurry. Take the spell so he can't send anyone else. Take care of KC. Go."
Chris ran over to the Book of Shadows as Wyatt got up.
"Hear these words, hear the rhyme, heed the hope within my mind-" Wyatt threw an energy ball towards Chris and he ducked just in time. "Send me back to where I'll find, what I wish in place and time."
The portal opened behind me and Chris and I ran into it.

When we arrived back in the past Chris landed on the floor hard, and I landed on top of him, just as hard.
"Ouch." I said, rolling off him and onto my back.
"Oh my god, are you okay?" Paige asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Chris said as we got up. "Nice spell."
"Yeah, but we just put it in there like two seconds ago." Phoebe said.
"Yeah, well, you see, the way time travel works-" Leo began to explain.
"Yeah, I don't wanna know, I already have a little headache. Thanks."
"You have some serious explaining to do, young man." Piper said.
"I know. Listen, I'm sorry I lied to you. I really am, but-"
"No, no buts. It's about time you tell us the truth, now."
"I can't. But not because I don't want to, but because there's only so much I can tell you without the future being changed too much."
"Um, isn't that your whole point? To come and change the future?" Paige said.
"Yes. But that was supposed to be more like a surgical strike."
"To save Wyatt." Leo said.
"To save Wyatt." Chris confirmed.
"What about Bianca?" Phoebe asked.
"Bianca won't be a threat to anyone anymore." Chris explained.
"I'm sorry."
"Me too. So you guys still alright with us hanging around here?"
"Absolutely. The next time you're in trouble you gotta tell us. Trust works both ways." Leo said.
"Okay." Chris looked at me. "Getting late kiddo."
"Ok."
I ran to my room and got dressed for bed. When I was done I went to find Chris so we could go get the cookies.
"If I can't save you, I swear to god I'll stop you." I heard Chris say to Wyatt. I pretended not to hear it though.
"Chris?" He looked over me. "Coming?"
"Yeah. Let's go."
We went to the kitchen and I got the cookies, while Chris got the milk. When we had everything we sat down at the table.
"Be right back ok? I gotta go to the bathroom." Chris said getting up.
"Ok." I sat there and waited for him.
"Thought you were going to bed?" I looked over and Leo was walking in the room.
"It's mine and Chris' bed time tradition. We each get two cookies and a glass of milk. We eat them together."
"That's it?"
"Well, most of the time we race to see who's faster." He laughed a little. "Do you wanna join?"
"No that's ok. It's your thing with your brother."
"Actually it was mine and my grandpa's thing at first. Then Chris joined when he was home more." I looked at the table.
"Where are your parents?"
"They died when I was real little. I don't even really remember them."
"Hey KC I've gotta go." I heard Chris say as he was walking into the room.
"Ok."
"I'm really sorry. Get to sleep ok?"
"Yeah." Then he left.
I got up and went put everything away when Leo sat down.
"I guess I could join you." He smiled and I smiled back.
"Ok." I sat back down and Leo and I ate the cookies and drank the milk.
"Ok. Time for bed KC." Leo said grabbing the glasses and putting them in the sink.
"Alright. Thanks Leo." I said and hugged him before running up to my room and falling asleep.
