Chapter Ten

*After School* 

Jenna P.O.V

I was sitting on the steps with Rocky and he we were talking. He was planning to take me out on a date. He was about to kiss me until someone cleared their throat. 

We both looked up and saw Ross. “What do you want?” Rocky asked. “I need to talk to Jenna.” He replied. “Me? Why me?” I asked. “Because I need to see the picture.” Ross said. 

“Melody told you. Didn’t she?” I said. He nodded. “And you didn’t believe her?” I asked. He shook his head. I sighed and took out my phone and showed him the picture. He started to tear up. 

“Let me see.” Rocky said. I showed him the picture and he looked back at Ross who was now crying. Rocky got up and hugged Ross. “I’m sorry that I betrayed you guys. I actually really do miss you.” Ross said. Rocky nodded and let go of Ross. 

“Now you see what we’re talking about.” I said. He nodded. “That’s not why I was crying though.” Ross said. “Then why are you crying?” Rocky asked. “Because I didn’t believe Melody. I hurt badly and now she will never forgive me.” He replied. 

“Maybe she can.” I said. “How? She doesn’t even want to talk to me at all.” Ross said. “Melody said that music is the only thing that actually speaks to her. Maybe if you write a song about her she will forgive you.” I said. 

“Okay but how? I’m terrible at writing songs.” Ross said. “I’ll help you. After all I am a musical genius.” Rocky smirked. “After the way I treated you. You’d still help me?” Ross asked. 

“Ross your my brother. I love you and I hate seeing you at your worst. Plus, Melody is actually a nice girl. She’s good for you.” Rocky replied. “Thanks bro.” Ross said. Rocky and Ross hugged again. 

“Awww brotherly love.” I said. They smiled at me and gave me a hug too. “So does this mean your breaking up with Jocelyn?” I asked. “Yup. Now I just gotta go find her.” Ross said. He ran away. 

“This year is going to be awesome.” I said. Rocky nodded in agreement and kissed me. 

Rydel P.O.V

I was in the library studying for my history test when Jocelyn and Kali approached me. 

“What do you want?” I said rudely. “Just a little favor.” Kali replied. I rolled my eyes. “We need you to help us figure out a tune of a song.” Jocelyn said. 

“And why would I help you?” I asked. “Because if you don’t we’ll just have to do something terrible.” Jocelyn replied. “Oh I’m so scared.” I said sarcastically. 

“You should be because if you don’t help us we’ll just hurt your little friend.” Jocelyn snickered. “Who?” I asked. “Your little crush Jordan.” Kali replied. 

Is it that obvious that I like Jordan? Wow I should keep myself on a D.L. 

“What do you want me to do?” I asked. “I want you to come with us to our house. Your going to help us with this song starting tomorrow.” Jocelyn said. “And If I don’t?” 

“Then we’ll just have to hurt Jordan.” Kali said. And how do plan on doing that?” I asked. Jocelyn took out something silver out of her purse. It looked like.. a gun. 

“So are you in or out?” Jocelyn asked. “I-I’m in.” I said. “Good choice. And if you tell anyone about this. I promise I will not hesitate to hurt you too.” Jocelyn scolded. Her and Kali left the library. 

I can’t believe I have to help them. And if I don’t help them Jordan gets hurt.  ”What so special about the Moonlight Jam anyways?” I muttered. “The winner gets a record deal and 3 million dollars.” A familiar voice said. 

I looked up and saw Ryland. “What are you doing here?” I asked. “I just needed help with a girl. I want to know how to impress one.” Ryland said. “Not now Ryland. I have think okay?” I said. “Okay but could you do me a favor?” He asked. 

“What?” “Could you stay home with me on Saturday night because Katie is coming over for a movie night and she’s bringing her brother. I need you to be his date.” Ryland said. 

I nodded. “Thanks your the best sister ever!” He yelled. He gave me a hug and left. 

I’m so worried. How am I supposed to help Jocelyn with out my friends finding out. And If I don’t help Jocelyn she will hurt me. Or worse. She’ll hurt Jordan. 

Ross P.O.V

I was in the halls looking for Jocelyn and I finally found her with Kali. I needed to break up with her. I had Jenna send me the picture so I could prove it to her. 

“Jocelyn! We need to talk.” I said. “Yeah we do. I need to tell you something.” She said. “Well so do I.” I said. “Fine what ever you go first. She said with attitude. 

“I know about Josh Jocelyn and I know you cheated on me. So I’m breaking up with you. And you can’t lie because I have proof.” I said. Her and Kali laughed. “What’s so funny?” I asked.

“The plan worked! I can’t believe it. Wow this was easier than I thought.” Jocelyn said. “What plan?” I asked. “Sweetie, I know Jenna took a picture of me. And I knew she was gonna tell you about me kissing Josh. But honestly Ross I just used you. I knew that the Moonlight Jam was coming up and I needed to date you so that I could get a good grade on it plus a record deal. But then I realized that I don’t need you anymore now that I have this.” Jocelyn raised Melody’s song book in her hand. 

“So you just used me for a good grade?” I asked. “Well I was but now I don’t need you. And for the record I broke up with you okay? Thanks. Bye Loser. Oh and please don’t sit at our table anymore. We already found someone to replace you.” Jocelyn snared. Her and Kali walked away.

I can’t believe it. Melody was right. I ran after Jocelyn. “Give me the book back now!” I yelled. “No I don’t think I will.” She said. “Give it to me now!” I yelled again. 

“I said no!” She slapped me and I fell to the ground. “Let’s go!” Kali yelled. Her and Jocelyn left. 

I got up from the ground and headed home. I should’ve listened to Melody She was right. Everything she has ever said was true. I’m such a jerk. I just hope she can forgive me. 

I do love her and I always have. But I always denied it.
