Chapter Twelve

Melody P.O.V

I was at my house sitting on the couch watching my favorite movie Romeo and Juliet 1968. This movie was just to perfect. I was enjoying the movie until the doorbell rang. I got up and answered. It was Ross. 

“Your late you know.” I said. “I know and I’m sorry but as I was walking I saw Rydel and I she handed me this.” Ross pulled out a notebook from his backpack and handed it to me. It was my song book! 

“OMG Ross! Thank you!” I hugged him and I finally let go. “How’d she get it?” I asked. “I have no idea. She just handed it to me and told me to give it to you.” He replied. I nodded and let Ross come into my house. 

He sat down on the couch and I turned off the T.V. 

“So, you are you really sorry that you hurt me?” I asked. “More than anything.” He replied. “But I don’t get it. Every time you apologize to me you always end up hurting me and I don’t want you to keep breaking my heart anymore.” I replied. 

Ross looked into my eyes and took my hands and locked our fingers together. 

“Listen Melody, there are so many things I wish I could tell you but I can’t. I’m not even sure If you would understand because I don’t understand half of it. I want to be with you so bad, but I’m just afraid of getting hurt. When I was with Jocelyn I always thought and believed that she loved me. And when I called you worthless that’s because I knew that I was worthless. I’m not worthy to be dating you and I’ve always loved you when I first met you.” He looked into my eyes and he now had tears coming down his face. 

“Melody, you don’t understand. Ever since I met you I actually fell for you. It was like I was in a dream. And the hardest part of dreaming about someone you love is waking up and fearing that they will never love you back. And that’s what I’ve always fear when I’m with you.” He said. I separated my hands from his and wiped away his tears. 

“I love you too Ross.” I replied. He smiled and leaned in and I did as well. Finally our lips met and I felt fireworks no,  a nuclear bomb go off! Our lips moved in perfect sync. This felt so right. 

Ross P.O.V

I was smiling in between kisses. This has to be the greatest moment of my life. We finally parted and looked into each other’s eyes. 

“So do you forgive me?” I asked. She smiled and kissed me again. “Of course I forgive you.” She said in between kisses. I pulled away. 

“One more thing.” I said. “What?” “Will you be my girlfriend?” I asked.  ”Yes. I would love that.” She replied. I kissed her again. 

Now I’m officially in love. 

*Friday* 

Joelle P.O.V

It was finally lunch and everyone at the table was talking about random hings. Every one but Riker. He would just look at Rydel. 

“Riker, It’s going to be okay.” I said. “No it’s not. I just don’t understand why she’s sitting with Jocelyn.” Riker said. “She’s sitting with Jocelyn because Jocelyn is making her do stuff.” Jordan replied. “Well thank you Captain Obvious.” Rocky said. 

“Hey guys. Can I sit here?” A familiar voice said. We all looked up and saw Ross. “Sure thing babe.” Melody replied as she scooted over. “Uh babe?” I asked. “Oh did we forget to tell you. Melody and I are dating!” Ross exclaimed. 

“Dating? Since when?” Jenna asked. “Since last night.” Melody answered. “Oh well congrats! Now back to Rydel.” Riker said. “What about Rydel?” Ross said.
