It's funny when you are use to seeing someone let alone hearing someone you smile and feel at peace.  But when even for just one day you hadn't heard nor see of that person you feel lost like somethings missing.

Yesterday he never came by or even called which is a first.  I do hope nothing is wrong considering what today is.

Well it is  Seff's birthday, he is turning 16.  I smiled sadly to myself. 

I knew for a fact that he should be having a big celebration and I'm not even allowed to go.

Standing alone in front of my kitchen I was preparing a birthday cake.  It has been a tradition of ours and Seff never missed it once.  So I am positive that after his party he would come straight here and I can't wait to meet his wolf.  Next to his cake with his birthday present.  I hope he likes it, I made it just for him.

Putting on the last of my decoration my door bell had rung.

It's too early for Seff so I wonder who could that be?

Opening the door I was met with Alpha Noah.  He never comes to visit me even when he knows that his son comes here all the time.

"Amerie."  He sneered.  I can sense he is mad but for whatever reason I do not know what he is doing here.  "May I come in?"

Opening my door wider I let him into my kitchen until I had forgotten the mess.  "Sorry I was baking a cake for..."

"Happy Birthday Seff."  He read the icing on the cake.

Looking around he seems to be observing, "Your home is quite cute and homey."  He chuckled but it wasn't a good kind of chuckled more like he was insulting me.  "So is this what you do, bake cakes and teach my son useless things."  His fingers lightly tap on the books that was on my drawer.

"I'm sorry but what are you doing here?"  I didn't have a good feeling.

"I came to tell you that Samuel is not to come here anymore."

"You can't do that, I am his ma..."

"Mate."  He finishes my sentence.  "The gods made a mistake when they paired my son with an old lady."  He laughed, "I am sure they will provide him with a second chance mate."

I don't know how much that is true but in all my life I have never seen a second chance mate.  You either have a mate or you don't.  There is no ands, ifs, or buts.

"Today is his birthday may I at least see him."

"No."  He was quick to answer.  "You may not."

Could I punch him, could I kick him oh hell I wanted to do more than just kick him.

It's because of me they get to live in a safe environment but I never said that.  I didn't want to use that as a way for me to see him.  "We made a deal."

"Yes we did but it will be expiring soon. Do not forget that, you are to leave these lands alone.  Leave me and my son alone, let him be happy."

The way I look at him, he does love his son so who am I to come between a father and son.  "Please give him back to me.  He hates me."  I shutter to think why I thought to myself.

This Alpha here looks pitiful.  Not like the previous Alpha who held much more dignity than him. Since when do Alpha's beg.  "I'll think about it."

"Good, that's good you do that in the mean time I suggest you trash that cake."  Leaving my home I stared at my cake. 

Well I guess it's just me.

And me.  My wolf Lau had pipped up.  She hated the fact that Alpha Noah is telling her, telling us we can't be nor see our mate.  She hated it as much as I do.
