Poem : Warning (2020)

I warned you
When you first confessed your love to me
That I was a traveling woman
I could never stay at one place for long
Had to constantly move around, explore new places
Am I wrong?
I warned you that I would have to change my hair,
our city, our pet, and all our friends
You simply replied "Well, that's fair."
My wardrobe, and decor would change over time.
From Pink and Blue, to Gold and Lime
"I guess change is good." was all you said
So tell me, my dear, why you're so surprised
To find, I have traveled to another man's bed?
