Chapter 15

Raven

"Sunny! Stay with me! Stay with me!" My whole body is trembling as I see her bleed. I keep on calling her, but she didn't wake up. I'm crying while holding her body so tight. I ran as fast as I could to get into my car. I can't afford to lose her!

I laid her beside me; she's still unconscious, and I can't make myself believe that she's going to be fine. I can hear her heartbeat is getting faster; she lost a lot of blood... I can't do anything!

I drive like a wind to go back to my old house. I can't bring her to the hospital; it's too far. I can't take any risk! My shaking hands filled with Sunny's blood search for the phone that I left—I clicked Kim's number.

"Shit! Raven! Mamamatay ako sa pag aalala sa inyo ni Sunn—"

"Kim! Listen! Sunny's been shot! I need to go to my old house now! I can't bring her to the hospital; it's too far; she might die!"

"What the hell happened?!"

I dropped the call and looked at her, and my tears started to flow heavily.

"Hold on, mi amore porfavore, hold on." Her heart is starting to contract; I can hear every part of it starting to fail.

My tires screeched as I made a full stop in front of my house. I ran on the other side to get her. I make haste getting into my basement; she's still no sign of strength.

I lay her on the operating table set up to monitor her blood pressure. I cut her shirt and saw two bullet holes, one on her shoulder that pushed through her scapula and one gunshot that made me scared to death—a bullet to her sternum.

"Hold on, Sunny!" My tears start falling, but I still try to hold myself.

I shouted as her blood pressure started to drop.

"Please! Don't do this to me!"

"Raven! Nasaan ka?!" I heard Kim's voice.

"Basement!" I shouted.

I hear their running footsteps going down.

"Oh, my god! Sunny!" They run towards Sunny and hug her unconscious body.

"Kim, Alex, I need your help; we need to do the operation!"

"Are you insane?! She's not stable, Raven! She's having a hemorrhagic shock! Hindi niya kakayanin at wala tayong dugo para isalin!"

"Kim! We need to do this!" I can hear Sunny's body going to betray her.

"No! Raven!" Kim started shouting, "Hindi natin gagawin yon dito!"

Sunny's heart starts to beat fast.

"Kim! She's going to have a cardiac arrest! Fuck it!" She holds my hand that is holding a scalpel and dares to stop me.

"Stop! Fucking stop!" She screamed at me.

My anger outbursts, and I show her my fangs and how my claw grows longer. I look at her from the depths of her being. I smell her fear of me.

"Don't you dare stop me!" I don't care anymore if she saw how monster I am, even Alex! I need to do what I need to!

"K-Kim, I'll help Raven; we need to do everything before it's too late." Alex started to help me prepare all the equipment. I know she's shaking because of fear of what she saw a while ago.

She didn't dare to ask; she just applied a little anesthesia and monitored Sunny's blood pressure and BPM. Sunny begins to be stable for a while, which gives me hope that she's going to be fine.
