We Were Friends (Kakashi x oc)

the pov keeps changing but I think it's my longest current chapter so have fun.

Kakashi pov

Minato-sensei and mikasa split up from us a while ago now and currently me and my team are walking through a stream as a short cut to the bridge. I stopped Infront of Rin and obito and stuck my arm out to say stop to which they complied thankfully. I sensed two ninja they were most likely teamed up with the one from yesterday. Suddenly several bamboo sticks came flying down from above and obito got into action and blasted a fireball at them turning them to charcoal to stop them from getting closer or hitting us. I smiled knowing obito wasn't useless... Not like Rin is. Obito and I engaged in combat with one ninja that we completely forgot about the other one which attacked Rin from behind, capturing her. "I'll hold onto this one" the guy said as he held Rin before both of the ninja disappeared in a puff of smoke.
"Darn it!" Obito yelled running the direction they were in.
"Obito don't" I yelled after him with my arm extended. He stops and looks at me "the two of us need to continue the mission" I stated as though it was obvious. "But Rin... What about Rin!" He yelled at me furiously.

"They won't kill her right away. Luckily on top of that she's a medical ninja even as a prisoner she should be treated well more importantly the problem is the enemy discovering our aim. If that information leaks they'll immediately take preparations to guard the bridge if that happens the mission will become two difficult" I explained sternly wishing for once obito would listen to me.

"Right now... Rather than mission, rescuing Rin is priority!" Obito yelled at me. "If this mission fails the war will become prolonged and many more sacrifices may occur" I explained.
"That's only speculation! Whenever you and I are injured Rin would always save us with her medical ninjutsu!" Obito stated rasing his voice.
"That... Was rins duty" I explained and obito threw a punch at my face sending me back a couple of feet forcing me to the ground.
"I hate you after all!" He yelled like it effected me.
"I don't care if you have me. Obito you don't have any power and that's why I'm squad capta-" before I could finish I was interrupted by obito grabbing me by my shirt. "So why do you refuse to save Rin if you have the power!" He complained. "If you let your emotions run free you'll fail an important mission and you'll end up regretting it."
"Rin gave you a med kit... Because she was concerned about you! She sewed a charm onto it!" He yelled trying to guilt trip me.
"If you except unnecessary things it'll just become useless luggage" I muttered.
"Unnecessary things" he muttered in rage.
"Things like emotions are unnecessary" obito stared at me in shock and horror before asking "is that how you really feel? Even about mikasa... If it was her not Rin... Would you leave her?!" He yelled and mikasa smiling face flashed through my mind would I leave her... I think "yes I would leave her the mission comes before all" I stated coldly.

"I'm going to rescue Rin!" He said storming off.
"You don't understand anything, what happens to those who break the rules" I called after him.
"Those who break the rules are trash, but those who abandon their comrades are worse than trash! If I'm going to be called trash either way, I'd rather break the rules! And if that somehow makes me anything less than a real shinobi, then I'll crush all of the so-called “real” shinobi" he yelled at me before adding on the end "I believe the white fang... Was a true hero" my eyes widened in shock as I watched obito walk away.

Mikasa pov-

"So you're finally here" I leaf shinobi says looking at me and Minato-sensei "what's the status?" Minato-sensei asked wanting to get to the others quickly.
"There's about 50 Enemy's and were down to four men" I closed my eyes and concentrated on the enemys on the other side: 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56.
"Sensei I sense 56 enemy's" I muttered and he nodded.
"Everyone please throw these kunai at the enemy's side it doesn't have to hit them then me and mikasa will take care of it" Minato-sensei said casually, I see he's going to teleport where as I rely on my clans speed.

Obito pov-

I stood on top of a branch looking down at a cave entrance. I closed my eyes and concentrated but nothing... How does mika-chan do it... She closes her eyes and knows how many people and what nature's they are... I grabbed my kunai tighter and decided to rush in I was about to jump down when a guy appeared next to me "where are you going?" He asked sternly I froze I didn't know what to do but then Kakashi came out of nowhere and struck him down "k-kakashi" I muttered in shock as the guy fell off the tree.
"That silver hair... That blade... With which chakra light. Could you be... The white fang of konoha?" He asked in shock and panic. "This is a momento of my father" Kakashi stated. Idiot... He could have lied and scared him off! The man seemed less worried after hearing that and his lips twisted into a smirk.. the guy rushed forward and slit open Kakashis eye before disappearing in his Jutsu again. I stared down at him knowing it's my turn to protect him. Suddenly I could see the chakra flow of the enemy's and quickly pointed my kunai at him, stabbing him in the chest killing him...
"Obito... You're eyes..." Kakashi muttered.
"Yeah... Looks like the sharingan" I replied as Kakashi out some emergency treatment off Rin on his eye.

When Kakashi was done we lept down into the cave where Rin and one other guy was her chakra flow was weird and Kakashi pointed out its probably a genjutsu... Great she's stuck in a genjutsu and we have to battle this guy.

Kakashi pov

Obito and I quickly finished off the shinobi and released Rin from her genjutsu but it turns out we hadn't finished the guy off and he jumped up did some handsigns and disappeared... Seconds later the cave was crumbing to pieces and we had to get out of the unstable cave and fast. We were all running out when I stupidly tripped over my feet causing obito to throw me out of the way of where a rock would have hit. For a second I was relieved I was okay until I looked back at the rock then... I wish I had been hit. A gigantic boulder sat there half on obitos body. Half of his face was shown with so much pain embedded inside, a dribble of blood left the corner of his normally smiling face. Rin gasped in horror and I ran over to him trying to remove the rock of his body.
"Minato-sensei asked me to check up on y- OBITO" a voice said with a terrified yell at the end. Mikasa was here. She rushed passed Rin with her hair whipping her in the face which was an accidental before she also attempted to lift tho boulder while Rin just stared in shock.
"Kakashi, Mikasa stop I can't feel half of my body we all know this is the end for me..." Obito struggled to get out but mikasa wasn't having any of it and she continued to push the rock as hard as she can with tears streaming down her face.
"Oh Kakashi, I almost forgot, I know what to get you for becoming jonin now... I gift you my sharingan to replace the eye you lost today" he said with a cough and Rin started the transplant. Obito grabbed Mikasa hand and she stopped her actions of pushing the rock and just sat there with tears rapidly falling from her eyes.
"It isn't fair... You ... You should have grown old... And had a family... Married a great woman and became hokage. You can't... D-die" Mika says as obito gave her an apologetic smile and muttered an apology. The cave started crumbling again but mikasa didn't even notice she just stood there as everything collapsed around her she just watched obito. Rin grabbed her and started pulling her to safety with fear of losing another friend I grabbed them both and got them out.

"How is it that... Kakashi loses an eye... Obito dies and you don't even have a scratch on you!" She yells furiously at Rin.
"I... I was kiddnapped" Rin muttered crying slightly.
"You useless son of a... If you were strong in the slightest this wouldn't have happened if you weren't useless they'd both be safe right now!" Mika said with a punch that obliterated the tree behind Rin.
"Mika that's not fair... You know she's saved us many times" I said softly resting a hand on her shoulder that she just shrugged off before resorting with "never once has she saved me, so it is fair" she then stormed off as Minato-sensei appeared.
