Mikasa pov

"Let's play a game" I stated as I walked over and sat on Kakashis bed where he was sat crossed legged organising his kunai pouch.
"What type of game..." He asked suspiciously and I smiled gently at him.
"Questions, I ask you a question and you get to ask me one and you can't lie" I explained knowing I didn't think he could ask anything that I didn't want to share.
"Okay you start" he stated as he finished up with his organising.

'Okay I'll start of easy then I'll get to the questions I want to ask' I thought as brainstormed simple questions.
"What's your favourite food?" I asked.
"Miso soup with egg plant" he stated and gave me a side glance knowing I already knew that.
"Why did you want to play this game?" He asked trying to figure out my motives.
"To gather information" I answered slyly knowing that gave him practically nothing to work on.
"Child hood crush?"
"You" I blushed slight even though I should have predicted it.
"Why'd you join the root?"
"To escape the pain of losing obito and to improve my skills"
And now for the question I was most curious to ask.

"Why can't you use your chidori?" The room fell silent but I never retracted my question.
"A traumatic experience while using it" he muttered.
"I s that what you wanted to play the game?" He asked as his next question
"Yes. What happened?"
"Rin jumped Infront of my attack" he said with his voice shaking a little as he gripped the duvet that lay beneath us violently. So that's how Rin died! I took his hand and held it in mine as a form of comfort and gave him a light smile.

"Why are you so interested?"
"Because: Im your anbu captain I need to know whats wrong and your weaknesses and I lo... I care about you" Kakashi signed at me but didn't say anything.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked quietly as my next question.
"I didn't want you to worry" he stated as though it was obvious.

"Will you go out with me?" He asked suddenly completely out of the blue and I could tell if it was apart of the questions or a random one.
"I can't" I muttered looking down.
"Why?" He asked sadly.
"I'm dying Kakashi remember what the doctor told you? I'm dying I can't put you through that, I need to find tsunade and get it sorted before I will allow myself to grant my desires and date you"
"I do remember what the doctor told me yeah he said you might be able to live a full life so you don't have to worry about it Mika"
"Key word... Might. I could die any second of any day I need to get rid of this disease" I resorted.
"Then let's find tsunade" I looked at him shocked, no one knows we're she is and we'd need permission to leave the village along with time of anbu and I need Minato-sensei and Danzo-Donos permission.
"We have to try" he muttered as he leaned in and kissed my temple making me blush and I nodded in agreement, it's worth a shot.

Honestly I was scared, what if she refuses? What if she doesn't like me? What if we can't find her?!

Kakashi held my hand as we walked towards the hokage tower for someone who's trying not to get too attached I sure am cozy with him.

"Minato Sensei, I'd like to request leave of the village with Mikasa to find lady tsunade" kakashi stated to the fourth hokage.

"Why do you seek her?" Minato-sensei asked making it obvious we weren't leaving unless we had a good enough reason.
"I'm dying " I stated as I turned my face away to avoid eye contact but I could sense his eyes widen in shock and I felt his worried stare bore through my body.

"You may go, and you're in luck Jiraiya is in town, he can help you find her, mikasa you should let danzo know of your mission" Minato stated with a shaky voice, he was scared... of losing another student.

Kakashi went to find Jiraiya while I went to talk to danzo-dono, I entered The cold eerie root headquarters and moved in a quickened pace towards Danzo-Donos office. I knocked on the door and heard a raspy voice state a small "come in" up on entering the room I kneeled knowing my rank and his.

"Ah mikasa, what do I owe the pleasure?" He asked as I rose to my feet.
"Danzo-dono I request to have no missions for a while." I said steadily.
"Why is that my child?" He asked in reply not seeming annoyed or bothered.
"You see... I have fallen ill. I'm seeking out lady tsunade to cure me from my unidentified illness" I told him honestly making him nod in understanding.
"You may have your time off, after all a sick shinobi is no good on a battlefield" he explained. I thanked him and left to find Kakashi.
