Kakashi Hatake grew up being best friends with Mikasa Fernandez but one day they find something they thought they never would... Kakashi states how he won't save a teammate and mikasa silently disagrees... Then what..?
A/N ok so I think danzo always receives a ton of hate (if you know a fanfic where he isn't please send it me or tell me the name) so I wanted to put him in a different light. He's a bad character yes I agree but he does do everything he does with the villages well fair in mind, remember that.
Mikasa pov-
"Onee-chan!" A loud cheerful voice called as Kakashi and I were entering the village. looking to the side I saw my two favourite children. Itachi had onyx eyes under which were long, pronounced tear-troughs. He had jet-black hair that was an equal length around his head and his face was framed with the bangs that extended to his chin, he prefers long hair even though his father has countlessly told him it's not right for a ninja. Bearing stark resemblance to his ancestor Kagami Uchiha, Shisui had short, unkempt, dark-coloured hair, black eyes and a relatively broad nose and well-defined eyelashes, that were turns upwards at each end. He wore the standard attire of the Uchiha clan which includes a high-collared, dark-coloured outfit along with a tanto strapped to the right side of the back of his shoulder. He also wore what appeared to be a harness for his tantō which ran across his chest and fastened over both his shoulders. Itachi was still in the academy but shisui is entering the chunin exams soon.
I picked up the six year old Itachi (usually he refuses but eventually lets me but this time he just let me) and he silently played with my hair as shisui started talking. "Who's that?" He questioned looking at Kakashi. "That idiot was on my genin team and now he is in my ambu squad" I explained throwing my thumb back at Kakashi while itachi glared. "Onee-chan guess what? I nominate you to train me!" He yelled pointing at me before I could speak. I let out a soft laugh and put Itachi on the floor as I bent down to shisuis height. I took two of my fingers and poked his forehead making him rub his head before I said "sorry shisui not today I have to file a report for my mission" shisui looked sad for a second before I said "maybe if I have time later if not whenever I have time, I promise to come and get you when I do" I said making him brighten up a little. "But how will you know where to find me?" He questioned. "Sensory ninja" Itachi muttered and I nodded in agreement and shisui thanked me before taking Itachi and leaving.
"Who are they?" Kakashi asked me. "Itachi Uchiha, Uchiha prodigy, first born to the main branch his mother is currently pregnant with a second child, his dad hopes for a girl but I have a feeling they're getting a boy and shisui Uchiha he has a sad past yet he's still so young, his father stopped recognising him at a young age and eventually passed his mom killed herself yet he smiles and finds joy every day, him and Itachi are inseparable" I explained as the two Uchiha ran off into the distance.

The root ambu bird flew around my head and I quickly said goodbye to Kakashi telling him he has to complete the report before leaving.
Slipping on my mask I entered the dark building where I saw danzo-dono sitting in his chair. "Owl reporting for duty" I stated coldly as I knelt on the ground.
"Come" danzo said standing up and walking, I trailed behind him as he took me up to the top of water fall, I looked at him curiously but he obviously couldn't see that because of my ambu mask. "You're probably confused but look down" he said calmly and I walked towards the edge and looked down to where all water is hitting. "What do you see?" He asked curiously. "Water rapidly hitting again another particle of water and this repeatedly happening, in a way like humans, we hit eachother and fight yet nothing ever changes" I said muttering the end part. "You're right it is like humanity but you know what? Look closely, see the rocks? See how the water over comes them and cuts them down, do you think one particle could do that alone?" He explained. "Like a waterfall a squad needs teamwork to overcome a problem" I stated and he nodded. "Do you know why I've brought you here?" He asked me. "No idea" I answered honestly. "There are a group forming, the akatsuki, at the moment they appear to be harmless but you never know in the future, if things get out of hand you have a mission to join them but remember if anything is too hard you can count on the leaf to help, you won't be going as a rouge but close friends will believe that's the reason but you will always be welcome home, you can also refuse this mission when the time comes, there is a possibility this is an event that will never come to pass" danzo-dono explained and I nodded before being dismissed.
When I left the root I closed my eyes and focused before pinpointing shisui who I then left to find. "Yo" I said from behind him and he let out a terrified scream which brought me out in a fit of laughter adorably the 12 year-old puffed his cheeks out in annoyance and I cooed at the boy I picked him up in a hug which he pushed away from me and failing, he eventually gives in and hugs me back.
"Follow me I'm promised to train you" I said in a joyful voice as I walked away which shisui ran after me ranging about how cool and strong he's gonna be when we're done, I laughed slightly as he linked his hand with mine.
"When I'm older I'm going to marry you" shisui said with a smile and I laughed a little. "I'm older than you shisui" I stated thinking the age gap is a problem for his plan. "You're 15 only 3 years older than me! And with your birthday placement your actually only 2 years and 6 months older" he stated. "Still" I said. "My parents are 5 years apart in age" he pointed out and I laughed before hurrying him to the training field cutting off the convocation.
"Stand like this and hold your hands like this" I explained giving him a new taijutsu stance as his taijutsu has always been his weakest which used to be the same for me but now it's genjutsu for me. After he got into the stance I moved his hands so it's more like the hyuuga stance more more effective for the sharingan. "With your hands like that it's easier to defend attacks and deliver attacks, test the difference out, defend this with that stance" I sent a chunin level hit towards him which he blocked easily. "Now with your old stance" I said and after he got in the position I threw another hit which he sloppily caught.
"Feel the difference?" I asked calmly and he nodded proudly. For the rest of training I attacked from different angles to get him used to quickly getting into the stance and after a while I'd say he nailed it. We say on the floor and ate out of fresh bento boxes that I keep in scrolls incase of emergencys, half way through eating I saw a small black haired child running towards us, passing my box to the 12 year old next to me I ran towards the child like a scene in a movie and picked him up and spun him around. "Itachi" I called out pulling him into a hug which he instantly returned. Placing Itachi back on the floor he looked at me with the most seriousness he's tiny body could possibly hold before stating "please become my sensei" I reacted the scene from earlier and knelt down and poked Itachis forehead and smiled softly "when you're older" I said with an apologetic look. Itachi knowing he couldn't changed my mind flopped into a sitting position and I sat next to him before pulling him into my lap as I braided a strand of his hair as shisui explained reasons I should marry him. His reasons were: 1) he's strong. 2) are ages aren't that far apart. 3) no other guy deserves me. 4) Itachi is to young to date. 5) he'd make me happier than ever before. And finally 6) I'd make a great Uchiha.
Each reason would make me smile but I refused to tell him I loved another, so for now I'll keep telling him age.
