Mikasa pov

"Soooo what's your favourite colour?" I asked awkwardly trying to make small talk as Kakashi and I sat in our living room. He looked up at me suspicions clouding his eyes, the then stood up and walked over to me before ripping my anbu mask off forcefully, in return I tore down his black mask and boy is he handsome. He looked at me sternly studying my every facial feature: my long black hair that elegantly framed my face, my shining emerald eyes, my candy red lips and my pale face. I knew he knew, and that just makes the conversation I know that's coming up next scarier.

"Mikasa... I knew it!" he stated smuggly.
"Who's mikasa?" I asked with a forced innocent smile.
"Don't play with me" he stated obviously knowing who I am.
"How'd you know" I asked attaching my mask to my belt.
"Minato-sensei wouldn't pair me up with a random person straight of the bat, and he personally requested for you to be put into his anbu instead of root, to anger danzo-dono like that he must know you let's just say I put 2 and 2 together" he explained taking a seat next to me.

Taking a deep breath I asked a question that could potentially have been terrible. "Rin... What happened to her?"
Kakashi froze and his triumph smile was wiped off his face in seconds.
"I killed her" he stated before leaving the room. Well that went well.

That night when I was lying in my bed reading a book because I wasn't tired I headed sobbing from the next room. Sighing I put my book down and walked towards my roommates room, I pushed the door open and he turned to look at me, he quickly wiped his tears and smiled falsely at me.
"What's wrong?" I asked tiredly.
"Just thinking" he said and I mentally slapped myself thinking that his teammates dead and I'm asking what's wrong.
"Move over" I stated more than asked and he looked at me puzzled for a moment before he moved, I slid my body into his bed and went back to bed with a questioning glance off him which I ignored. I heard being with people physically can improve mental states and I'm to tired to talk so imma just sleep with him.

When I woke up his arm was around my shoulders and my head was placed on top of his chest, his eyes had tearstains resting beneath them which sent a rush of sadness throughout my body, but even though he has tearstained eyes, his face holds a smile and he looks peaceful, he wasn't wearing his mask probably because of the fact I saw his face earlier.
I didn't feel like waking up yet so I just snuggled into him for heat purposes and returned to a peaceful slumber.

Kakashi pov-

When I woke up I found mikasa next to me... Or on me... Her head was on my chest and her arms were tucked to her chest at my side. Her beautiful face held a unfazed expression like nothing in the world mattered to her while she slept. The moment I moved to get up she had a kunai to my throat as she rubbed her eyes obviously still drowsy and tired but the moment she realised who I was she muttered an apology and removed her blade.

A hour later mikasa was leaving the house with me following behind her. "Where are we going" I asked and she sighed before tossing a scroll at me.
"Were completing this mission."

Mission- escort Lady Liz to her home, the ice temple in the land of snow.
Estimated time - a week travel a day stay and a week back 15 days total.

"My name's Liz nice to meet you" a beautiful woman in an elegant dress said and she pushed herself against me I gulped as Mika rolled her eyes in annoyance before she told me to grab my stuff and meet at the gate in 10min.
