Both the families have known each other for a long long time and are great friends since ages. DP and Shekhar started a company together 'KM Industries' and now the company is handled by Laksh, Sanskaar and Swara;- and the company is divided into four equal shares for the kids. Ragini will take control over her share once she turns 25. All of them share a great great bond EXCEPT RAGINI AND LAKSH who despise each other.
