After a couple hours of sleep kate woke up next to her dad and brother "hey dad Kate's awake",Derek said, then Chris looked and saw Kate awake "kate sweetie are you ok",Chris asked, then she hugged him so excited he was back "don't leave me again papa",she hugged her dad and cried, "oh sweetie please stop crying I'm here for you now",he said, then she stopped crying and hugged her brother happy she was back "now kate can you tell me what happened to you before dad got here",Derek asked, "ok well I did what you told me to do but went I layed on the bed to sleep something or someone got me and I was taken for a couple days while you had to take care of that stupid doll/dummy of me",she said starting to cry, "no, no don't start crying again please your safe with me and dad now, please cheer up sis",Derek said hugging her, she nodded, while her father watched how good derek was with Kate, but was sad that kate might love Derek more, but then Kate came over and hugged "don't worry papa I love you and brother the same don't be jealous",she said, then he smiled then ran to her room and sleep cause she was still tired while Derek and Chris discussed about which school Kate and Derek were gonna go to school when they would they go and how to protect kate
While Chris and Derek were discussing in the living room, Kate made them think she was sleeping but instead she opened her window and went out to explore around the house and the greenery but then she saw the garden and fell in love with it, all the beautiful flowers, fruites, and vegetables, but what she loved most was the tree swing once she sat in it and started to swing she felt so relaxed and felt so happy that she had laughed for once in a while, since her life has been such a mess
Inside the house Derek and Chris were discussing till they heard a laugh from outside not a evil or crazy laugh but a happy laugh, so they looked outside and saw Kate in the garden on a swing smiling and laughing happily, but then they went out to get her
Outside Chris and Derek came running out and saw Kate "kate what are you doing we thought you were sleeping",they said, "no I wanted to explore so I went out of my room and went to look outside then I found the most wonderful place",she said smiling, then they looked at how happy she was "well sweetie it's getting late you schould come in and will make your favorite dinner",Chris said, she nodded then got off the swing then went inside and had dinner
Inside the house kate and Chris sat at the table while Derek made grilled cheese in honor of kate and their father back, so after he was done he put them on a plate and put them on the table then turned of the stove and removed the pan then sat down with his dad and sister, then Kate took one "so kate do you like school",Chris asked, "I wish I was then I could have fun again",she said, "ok well sweetie you and your brother are starting rainbow high on Monday",he said, then Kate stopped eating and looked at her dad and brother "is this true Derek",she asked, Derek nodded, then she smiled "is it close",she asked, "yes just down the road",he said, then she got another smile "oh no you are not going unless derek is with you",he said, "awe come on papa you know I like to walk by myself",she said, "yeah I know but Simon is still out there and I want you to be safe",he said, "ok fine papa I can't wait to start",she said, Chris smiled then they finished dinner then Kate hugged Derek and her dad goodnight
During the weekend kate just hanged with her brother and father and also swung on the swing in the garden cause it made her so happy well till Monday came then it was time for school
In the morning on Monday both her brother and dad walked to school with her, after a couple minutes they arrived and went to the headmistresses office and talked to her about the school and Kate's dad had to sign some stuff but then Kate and Derek had to touch a special stone that told what color their uniforms would be, when Derek touched it his was filled with a mixture of colors, so his was a rainbows uniform, but when Kate touched it showed all dark colors like the bright night sky and space that were filled with many dark colors, so her uniform was the midnights, so then they got their schedules and said goodbye to their father and left the headmistresses office while he talked with her for a while till he left
Outside of the headmistresses office kate hugged her brother "don't worry you'll be fine I'll see you at lunch ok kate be strong",he said, "I am a big strong girl Derek I'm not a baby I was giving you a good luck hug, so by I'll see you at lunch",she said, he waved goodbye then went to their classes, well that's what kate made her brother think but instead she went to find the schools Libraby so she could find out everything about this school before starting classes here
After a while of looking kate finally found it, so she went straight to reading everything about the school and her classes, till she heard the lunch bell ring but she just ate her lunch in the library, cause she didn't want to stop learning or reading well while taking notes, but then it was the end of the day so she closed the book she was on, put her notes in her bag, and left the library to meet her brother at the front door
In the hallway Kate was walking to the front of the school when she saw a very angry Derek, so she walked to him with a not caring face "kate where the hell have you been at! I haven't seen you all day, teachers are wondering where you are, and worse you didn't show up for lichee so where kate",he angrily said and yelled, "first calm down Derek I was just in the library learning about everthing this school and classes have then I decided to just eat my lunch in the library and continue learning, happy now can we go home",she said not caring, "no now you know you can't go off on your own you had me worried sick, now let's go home and tell dad",he said, "no we are not telling him now I'm going home by myself",she said, but then Derek grabbed her arm and started to drag her but hurt her rist by pulling to hard, so she got out of his grip and cried "kate I'm",Derek tried saying sorry, "no leave me alone Derek",kate said crying and ran home "wait kate it's not safe come back here",he said running after her till they got home where kate went to her room and locked it but then went out the window to her happy place while no one saw her
