Benjamin stared at the small boy who is known as Anubis. He couldn't look away because he seen the face before. Benjamin always knew that his father slept around, Brick even brought home the females and Benjamin has hated them all. A couple were terrible, couple were okay and there where very few who were nice.
"A son of Brick?" Benjamin asked.
"I rather go by son of Nephthys. Father, or shall I say Brick, was a big poser." Anubis said.
Benjamin smiled, "I like you."
Beatrix rolled her eyes, "Now you do."
"Where did you find him?" Benjamin asked.
Beatrix began to tell Benjamin what happened. How she fought against Shadow and stabbed a metal tiara in a bead. Then Shadow fell against the ground slowly changing into Ethan. She explained how she saw Anubis raising Jian from the dead, Anika finding him and taking Anubis locking him in the tower forcing him to use his powers to raise up more villains who passed away from the Battle of New Townsville. Finally, she explained how Bast crashed into them as they ran away with a passed out Anubis in Beatrix's arms.
"Wait . . . " Benjamin said as he looked over at Anubis. "You can raise the dead?"
Anubis nodded, "Yes. I can raise anyone who passed away within two years. I can restore their bodies to perfection and look as if they never died. Two years is the only limit. I cannot raise anyone or anything else after that."
Benjamin looked at Beatrix. He began to think about what they could do. Maine only passed away last year. There is a chance that Maine could raise up. Is this what they meant by the prize of raising someone from the dead? They weren't tempting them they really meant it but still . . . Benjamin couldn't if that's what his cousins wanted.
"I thought about it also," Beatrix said. "It could help out Bentley."
"See but still . . . what would the others say?" Benjamin asked.
"They would agree! It could help him, Benji."
"I know it could, Beatrix. But what would Bentley say?"
"He would say yes. You know he would."
Jian coughed, "Maine is dead also?"
Anubis put his hands flat on the ground, "Buried in New Townsville, underneath a tree with blue flowers on top. There seem to be a black veil over it. Who would out that there?"
"You can see that?" Beatrix asked.
The small boy nodded, "Yes. I have unlocked all five stages of my powers. All of them deals with death or something relating to death in a way. I am able to sense graves all around the world, focusing on one if needed. Able to kill you with a snap of a finger with a command word. Able to bring people back from death, two years as I said before. Able to use mummy wrappings meaning I can produce wrappings from nothing. And finally, I'm able to sense who is close to death."
"Which is how we saved Bast." Beatrix said.
Benjamin just nodded. He looked back down to Bast. He saw that she looks a little bit better. The large gash that started on her chin and stopped wherever on her chest is turning into a scar. Her bruises are fading into a yellow color and her cuts are turning into small white lines. The hole in her hand is healed with now a large white scar.
"I hope she is okay with scars." Benjamin muttered.
Beatrix smiled, "I think she will."
"But she hates fighting."
