Bentley kicked his feet in the water staring straight at Maine. Maine is smiling as he came up for air every so often. Bentley couldn't help but feel happy every single time he saw Maine. And yet. it feels as if he has a gap in his memory. Like someone took something out and not allowing him to remember.
Maine finally raised for air right in front of Bentley's face. He blew some water in the blondes face. Bentley just laughed as he turned to the side. Maine's choppy brown hair is flatten against his eyes, only showing the green triangle tattoos. Maine smiled to show that he is laughing.
Bentley blinked a couple of times. It feels as if he hasn't seen Maine smile enough. Or hear his thoughts. Everyone would take a double glance when seeing Maine then their eyes would gloss over. The three boys, Ariel, Hector and Victor had to sit down. Victor couldn't speak and Bentley the same large gap in his memory.
The same gap that always revolves around Maine.
What are you thinking about? Maine asked.
"Something is missing." Bentley replied. He felt no need to lie to Maine.
And what do you think that is?
"I don't know how. I just feel as if something is."
Maine grabbed Bentley's hands. He stared into the blonde's eyes. Maine brought them both in the water holding hands. Maine blew air bubbles hitting Bentley in the face. Bentley just smiled at him. Maine spun Bentley around in the water.
Bentley brought them deeper in the water. Their feet kicked above them in order to stay below. Bentley stared at Maine as the brunette just stared above them. Bentley grabbed Maine and pulled the other close. Maine looked at him with his eyebrow raised. Bentley pulled Maine's face to kiss.
It almost felt as if they done this before. Memories flooded Bentley's mind but nothing about this feeling. He could see the times Maine smiled or ran around and even hanging upside down a tree branch. Bentley didn't see this memory or anything that felt like it.
They pulled apart with Maine's face turning red. They swam to the surface breaking for air. Bentley watched Maine seeing the brunette push back his choppy brown hair. The blonde couldn't help but notice how ridiculous Maine looks with his hair like that. And how he thinks something is wrong with his memory.
There is no possible way that Bentley would forget his memory or have anything missing about Maine. Bentley can remember everything about Maine even without his mind powers. He knows almost everything about Maine somehow. And he also somehow has Maine's memories. Bentley isn't sure how he got them but he did.
He isn't regretting them. Bentley is just confused on how he got them.
You kissed me? Maine asked.
"Sorry." Bentley muttered.
Maine pushed Bentley's shoulder, Why? It was our first kiss.
First? How is that possible, Bentley asked himself. There is no possible way that is true. It felt as if it wasn't the first. His body knew the feeling while his mind didn't. Maine grabbed Bentley's shoulders. Shaking the blonde from his thoughts.
What's going on? You're very off today, Bentley. Maine said.
"I don't know." Bentley answered honestly.
Maine frowned waiting for Bentley to explain.
"This doesn't feel real to me. Like a dream and I'm not sure if it's a good or bad. How do I know if this is real, Maine? Tell me."
