Chapter 10 (Bj)

Bj couldn't think straight. He is just flying hearing the people from below praying to Mars. He would have acted the part but Sam is here. Sam is right across from him. Sam is so close to him. Bj could hug her again and he needs her. Sam is his other half, Bj knows that.

"Sam!" Bj yelled.

Sam didn't make any movement. She acted as if she didn't hear anything. Bj let out a scream and pushed himself to go faster. From behind him, he can hear Bartholomew calling out his name and shouting bug every time he spat out something. Bj flew through the window crashing against Sam.

The two teenagers fell on the ground. Sam let out a scream as she pushed off Bj. She covered her chest. Bj looked at her with his eyebrow raised them saw why. Sam was getting dressed when Bj fell against her. Bj gulped as he backed up some, grabbing the window ceil looking at her. Sam's curly brown hair is tied back in pile of braids, a sheet covering her lower body, arm over her chest. 

But her eyes. They didn't seem like they recognized him. Sam didn't jump in his arms or call out his name. Bj couldn't believe it.

"Sam, come on. You know me." Bj said.

She shook her head, "No, lord Mars. I'm sorry but I'm not Sam."

"Yes, you are!"

"My name is Pyrene. Daughter of King Bebrycius." Sam said.

"No, no, no. Your name is Sam Lòpez but born as Santiago Lòpez. You took the name Sam so your grandparents wouldn't lose their grandson in a way. Sam, this summer you had a sex change! Come on. Tell me that you remember this?" Bj exclaimed.

Sam's face showed that she didn't.

"Your parents are Isabella and Raphael Lòpez! You have little siblings. Your house was almost set on fire because of the Battle of New Townsville. Please, Sam. Tell me that you remember this?" Bj asked.

Sam just shook her head, "I'm sorry, Mars. I have no idea what you are saying."

Bj grabbed her arms, making the sheet drop but he couldn't care at the moment. This is Sam. His girlfriend, his other half, and his best friend is right in front of him not remembering a thing. He doesn't want to lose her.

"Sam, please tell me you're remembering something! You punched two people for me! You have the biggest ass in the world and always slap me whenever I bring it up. We eat meatball subs, we have burping contests, we have an hour just for singing and so much more. I used to fly to your window during you recovory for sex change because I was so worried." Bj cried. "Sam, please!"

A laugh made Bj turn around. He saw Anika sitting in a chair. Her long legs are crossed and a veil covered her face. Anika twisted her long black hair, pigtails, and laughed again. Bj put his body in front of Sam ready to give up his life for her.

"What did you do to her?" Bj hissed.

Anika laughed, "You think I did this? Why would I do that? I have nothing against you, Butch Junior Jojo. Sam, or Santiago, has forgotten everything. She's normal in the past. No special powers. They tend to slowly forget everything from their past."

"You're lying." 

"Am I? How come she isn't remembering anything that you said?"

Bj looked back with a frown, "Make her remember again! I can't lose her."

"I can," Anika smirk. "For a price."

He looked at her with his eyebrow raised. 

"I sent a little friend of mine to grab someone for me. No doubt she will fail because she has no idea to keep her mouth shut but you . . ." Anika sighed. "The person I'm after trusts you with his life."

"Who?"

"Bentley." 

"I'm not giving up my family!" 

"So, you will lose Sam. Very well."

Bj looked back at Sam. Her face is crossed with confusion. Bj for a brief moment thought of Anika's offer. They can easily get Bentley back. What they can't do is get Sam's memories back. Sam family would miss her just as much Bj will. Is he really willing to give up his family for Sam?

The sad part is, he would. Bj is so close to begging Anika bring back Sam to him. He is so close to find Bentley and turn him over. 

He felt terrible for even thinking of that. His shoulders sunk low. Anika smiled as she clapped her hands. It's almost as if she read his mind. Like, she knew exactly how close he was to take up her offer. Bj didn't want to. He didn't want to lose both of the people cares about.

No matter how tempting.

"No," Bj said, finally.

"Bj! You dolt leaving me behind. How could you?" Bartholomew asked as he flew in.

Bj watched Anika faded away. Bartholomew let out a surprised scream and turned around with his hands over his eyes. Bj remembers why. Sam is naked. Bj turned to see Sam staring at the place where Anika sat in horror. Her brown eyes are wide.

Two time portals opened. Bj watched his family piled out but another stayed there. He knew it's for Sam. He has a gut feeling. Bj, without thinking, grabbed Sam and flew out the window. Bartholomew yelled colorful words after him.

Bj flew through the open portal shouting out a quick hi to his family. They burst through the camp and landed in a tree. Bj looked around and saw Russell sitting on the table with their hands together. Worry is covering Russell's face. Bj looked back at Sam and saw her eyes widen.

"Bj? Where? How?" Sam asked as she looked around.

"You're remembering?" Bj asked with a smile.

"I'm naked!" Sam yelled.

"Yeah," Bj said as he took off the cloak thing around his neck. "You were getting dressed when I flew in the window. Don't worry we didn't do anything! But you didn't remember me. Or your family."

"My mind was really foggy . . ." Sam stammered. "I don't remember a lot. But that girl from the room, she told me that Bentley is going to pay. Benjamin will regret seeing things. Bast and some chick are going to fight. Beatrix will learn more about Violet. Bartholomew will have to choose between staying or leaving Python. And you . . . ."

"It's okay. I don't need to know." Bj muttered.

He has a feeling what it will be about. His parentage.

Bj and Sam hugged each other. Bj made sure to bring her to the cabin without anyone seeing her. He didn't like the fact Sam is still naked and no needs to see. He walked to the door but keeping his eyes on Sam, who is wrapped up her body, and was scared to leave.

"Promise me you'll stay safe." Bj said.

"I promise," She said as she blushed. "Promise me you won't tell anyone that I was naked."

"Bartholomew saw."

"What!"

"Don't worry, he screamed and covered his eyes," Bj said but smiled. "I promise I won't tell anyone. I'll see you when this is all over."

"Promise?"

"Promise."
