"Lex?" I heard a sleepy whisper.

"Lex, hey, wake up." I heard him whisper again.

I groaned and snuggled into the pillow further.

"I'm sorry, I know you're tired but--uh--you told me to wake you up for school." He said.

I hesitantly opened my eyes. I didn't want to move.

He looked so... soft? Sleepy eyes, floppy hair, groggy voice.

"You know, you're just as soft as you look." I smiled, getting a grip on myself.

"I know." He murmured sleepily.

"Do you want to talk about last night?" I asked, slowly.

"No, I think I'm good." He blushed.

"I think you're the sweetest space loving chicken nugget monster ever."

"I love you too." He snorted, sleepily.

I pecked his cheek and wrapped my arms around him. "Thank you for letting me stay." I said.

"You're okay now, right?" He asked.

I pulled away and nodded.

"I'm going to go back to bed for a bit now, alright?"

I nodded.

He dropped himself on the bed and pulled the covers over himself.

"Goodnight Lex." I creepily stared at him for a few seconds before finding my shoes and walking out of there.

His grandparents were still asleep I guess? The whole house was quiet. It was peaceful. Oddly calming.

I made my way to the front door and walked back home. I was still exhausted but it wasn't so bad? Maybe today wasn't so bad?

"Morning Lexi." No. It's too early in the morning for this.

"You're standing outside my house?" I said.

"Yeah, your parents wouldn't let me in."

"Okay. What do you want Nick?"

"Maybe you want to think about the offer I made you the other day?"

"I'm still not going to do anything against Tytan. He's my friend. Whether I like it or not."

"Lexi. I won't lie, I fucked up last time, okay? I won't ask for a second chance, I know I don't deserve it. I want to help you destroy Blackriver. We are on the same side now." He seemed genuine?

"What were you doing at his place last night?" I asked.

"He wanted me to talk about you." He bit his bottom lip.

"Do I even want to know what that means?" I rolled my eyes at him.

"He took me up on my offer. The same offer I made you, he wanted me to help him break you--just like I did the first time. But this time, he wouldn't be there to pick up the pieces--"

"I don't believe you." I shook my head. I knew Tytan. This wasn't like him. He wouldn't deliberately hurt me.

"You don't have to believe me. Anyway, after you stormed off, he asked me to leave. He said he didn't want to talk about anything. So I went home and here I am now. Do you maybe want to ride to school together? After you shower? I'll wait. I figured maybe you'd need some time to think about this?" It was weird? I hated him. I think I still did? But I didn't find him threatening? Not in the least?

He seemed like the Nick Lovestone I used to like?

Argh, whatever, how much trouble can he mean?!
