Chapter 8

Annie's POV

     "Harriet?" "Annie? OMG YOU'RE MY NEIGHBOR????" Yep that's right. Harriet is my neighbor. Oh my goodness she's excited. Harriet lets us in and my parents go and talk to Harriet's parents and the other adults that are here. "Bonjour!" Iris says. "Ciao!" Paisley says. "Hallo!" Both Kayla and Serbrina say at the same time. "Hola!" Harriet says. "Bonjour, comment vas-tu Iris?" I reply to Iris and her face goes pale. "Ciao, come stai Paisley?" Paisley puts her thinking face on as I reply to her. Now to really shock them. "Hallo, wie geht es dir, Kayla und Serbrina?" "Hola como estas Harriet?" They all look shocked. Hayley and I look at each other stifling back our laughter. "What? But how? You?" Serbrina says stuttering. "My sister and I are fluent in French, English, Spanish, Italian, and German. We decided to learn them because we were both fascinated with other countries and their languages so we decided to learn them and then our school required us to learn English.
     A couple minutes after explaining we introduce the siblings. "Ok so this is my baby sister Hannah" Harriet says and grabs the baby on the floor. "This is my little sister Ava." Iris says pointing to a little girl with blonde hair sitting next to her. "These are my little sisters. The twins Rylie and Kylie" Paisley says and points to two girls with blonde hair playing on the floor next to Paisley. "This is my older brother Jack." Kayla said and pointed to the boy with brown hair sitting on his phone next to Kayla. "This is my little sister Hayley" I point to Hayley and she waves.
     Dinner comes and we eat a delicious chicken pot pie that Harriet's mom made and then we all decide to have a sleepover. The little ones have to go though and Jack can leave if he wants. Everyone says goodbye to their siblings and then the parents leave. "Um guys" I say. "Yeah?" They reply with a confused face. "I don't have any pajamas or clothes for tomorrow or anything I need." I say looking at them with my what do I do face. "Then go over to your house and get it quick. It will take you all of five minutes." Harriet says and pretty much pushes me out the door.
     After I grabs my stuff I go back over to Harriet's house and we all decide to get into our pajamas. I put on a sweatshirt that says love, black and white polka doted short shorts, and I put my hair in a messy bun. Kayla changes into a green sweatshirt, black short shorts, and puts her hair into a messy bun with my help though. Harriet changes into a purple racer back tank top with pink rims. On the shirt it says: "My Weekend Plans:
                         [] Comfy Pajamas slippers
                         [] ride a unicorn (the one in
                             my dreams!)
                         [] become a puppy   
                             smuggler expert
                         [] training for a marathon
                            (of my favorite shows!)
                         [] but first, donuts."
She put on purple, blue, and pink striped shirt shorts. She decides to put her hair up in a messy bun. Serbrina puts on a purple shirt and black shirt shorts and leaves her hair down. Paisley puts on a pink t-shirt and pink pajama pants. Iris puts on a coral T-shirt and black shirt shorts.
     A few hours later we decide to go to bed and by this point it's like eleven o'clock so we head to Harriet's room. We aren't falling asleep so the girls decide to tell me about the cliques at school and what boys I should stay away from and what boys are ok.
     "Ok so the boys you need to stay away from are Hayden, Johnny, Carson, Connor, Brandon, Ashton, Luke, Jake, Drake, Cameron, Jax, and Austin. They are the popular boys of this school and just date girls to break their hearts." Harriet says pointing to each one in her old yearbook. "Mackenzie, Lauren, Jayden, Whitney, Ruby, and Nadia are the popular girls. They also can be mean but if your nice to them they'll be nice to you but it's obvious they don't want to talk to us." Paisley says pointing to each girl. "Everyone else is pretty much fine. Anyone that's our friend will pretty much become your friend." Iris says and closes the year book.
     We decide to fall asleep and then Paisley starts talking. "Guys I think tomorrow we should wear our favorite color" she says. "Ok Paisley we will all wear our favorite color. Can we go to sleep now?" Harriet says covering her face with a pillow. "Ok. Ok. We can sleep now." Paisley says and then turns on her side. We all close our eyes and eventually fall asleep.
