Chapter 17

Annie's POV

     I wake up only to realize it's Halloween which means I have to dress in school colors which are purple, blue, and white. I get dressed into a purple ivory ella shirt, blue high waisted skinny jeans with small rips in the knees, and white low top converse.
     I eat breakfast and head outside to see Harriet. We head to school and to our lockers. Once we're done at our lockers we head to homeroom.
     In homeroom we see people dressed as zombies wearing ripped clothes and some even dyed their hair. The announcements happen and then it's time for them to announce the winner of the class costume contest. "And the winner is... Mrs. Wissenchaft's homeroom!" Everyone in our class cheers and then we all head to class.

Serbrina's POV

     It's time for second block so I head to ela and take my usual seat in front of Drake, in between Paisley who is next to Cameron and Iris who is next to Jax. We first read for five minutes as our warm up and then Mrs. James tells us to put our books away and pay attention. "Class you are going to be doing a project that is worth 80 points. You will get a partner and I am picking them. For this project you will do one of three choices. You will read a book and make a commercial trying to "sell" it, you will make a dj playlist that relates to this book and you may or may not have to sing the songs, or you will make a skit based on a scene in the book and perform it for the class. Are there any questions?" Mrs. James says and nobody raises their hand. "Ok, then on to partners. Cameron and Jax. Paisley and Iris. Serbrina and Drake." She continues calling names out until she finally finishes and sets us free. I feel Drake tap on my shoulder and I turn around. "What do you wanna do for the project?" He asks. "Well I can't sing and I sure can't act so looks like we're doing the commercial." I say and turn around. "Ok. Let's work on it tonight at your house." He says and I squeal inside but keep my cool on the outside. "Ok." I pull out my book and start reading.

Harriet's POV

     Ugh. Another project. And assigned partners. It must be project week here or something because this is ridiculous. I am being partnered with... "Harriet will be partnered with Austin." Mrs. Wissenchaft says. Oh my gosh. I'm internally screaming right. This project just got a whole lot better. Once Mrs. Wissenchaft finishes assigning partners Austin and I decide to do our science project on gravity. Kayla and Annie we're partnered together. I wonder if Kayla is going to be partnered with her crush at some point today.
     Once class is over Annie, Kayla, and I head to our lockers and grab our stuff for the rest of the day. For me that would be my gym clothes, my lunch, my chorus folder, and my books for Spanish, math, and social studies. We head to our third blocks and put what we don't need down. We finally head to the lunch room and sit in our seats waiting for Paisley, Iris, and Serbrina.

Iris' POV

     Once Paisley, Serbrina, and I put our stuff down we head to the lunch room with our lunches, gym bags, Paisley has her chorus folder, I have my orchestra folder, Serbrina has her band folder and paisley has her Italian notebook, I have my French notebook, and Serbrina has her German notebook. We get into the lunch room and sit in our normal seats.
     We start eating and Paisley starts conversation. "So Serbrina What are you and drake doing for your ELA project?" She says and Serbrina blushes. "We are doing the commercial. We are working on it at my house tonight." She says and blushes. "Ooo that should be exciting!" I say and make her blush harder.
     Soon it's time for second encore so I head to Orchestra and sit in my seat. I tune my Violin and work on playing a piece that's a bit hard. "Ok class. You are going to be put in partners to work on a piece that I'm going to assign you. Are there any questions?" No body raises their hand. "Ok then. Iris you are going to be partnered with Jax. You two will be doing Carol Of The Bells and performing it on that last day of school before Christmas break." I internal scream and look at Jax. He grabs our piece and we start working on it.
