Chapter 9

Annie's POV

     We all wake up and get dressed. I change into a purple dress with tiny little flowers and yellow flats. Harriet gets dressed in a purple tank top, a blue skirt with palm trees and the sky on it, and white low top converses. She takes two strands of hair in the front, braids them, and then makes them into a half ponytail. She puts a white bow on the end. Serbrina puts on a black T-shirt, a purple skirt, white low top converse, she leaves her hair down. Kayla puts on a grey shirt with pink flowers on it tucked into a mint green high waisted skirt, and grey low top converse. She puts her hair into a ponytail. Iris puts on a white shirt tucked into a coral high waisted skirt, and white low top converse. She puts her hair in a top knot. Paisley puts on a black crop top that says 'Cute but Psycho', a baby pink high waisted skirt, and black low top converse. She puts her hair in double french braids. "We all look super cute!" Paisley said with a big grin on her face. "Paisley you are too excited for it to be 8:00 in the morning on a Saturday. We should still be sleeping but instead you have to wake me up!" Kayla says and leans against the wall. "Just let her be Kayla. The peppier she is the more likely we are to actually do something on a Saturday at 8:00 in the morning." Harriet says and walks out.
     After breakfast we all brush our teeth and sit on the couch trying to decide what to do. "We could go to defy gravity!" Paisley said with the same grin on her face from earlier. "No Paisley. Defy gravity is two hours away. I don't feel like getting in the car and riding for two hours just to go somewhere that we will be for all of thirty minutes until we get bored." Harriet says and looks back at her phone where she was looking up ideas of things to do. "I feel useless. I have no clue where anything is therefore I can't help figure out what to do." I said and looked down. "That's it!" Paisley jumped up from her spot on the couch and we all look at her with the 'what now?' face. "We should show Annie around town!!" Paisley says jumping up and down and looking at me. "That's actually not a bad idea. What do you guys think?" Iris says and looks around. We all agree and walk out and start walking around.
     It's lunch time and Paisley keeps complaining that she's hungry. We decide to stop at Starbucks to get something to hold her over until we get back to Harriet's house. We head there and as we pass the park I see Hayden having fun with what looks like a little girl. I slightly smile and we keep watching.
     We get to Starbucks and I order and chocolate cake pop and a vanilla bean cream frappuccino. Iris gets a peppermint mocha frappuccino and a coffee cake. Paisley gets hot cocoa and a muffin, as if she needs any more sugar, Harriet gets a muffin and milk. Kayla gets a triple chocolate mocha frappe. Serbrina gets a dark roast and a raccoon sugar cookie. We eat our food and drink our drinks on the way to Harriet's house.
     At Harriet's house we see that our families are all there. "Looks like you girls stopped by Starbucks. Paisley is jumping up and down in her spot right now. How much sugar did she get?" Harriets mom says and we all look at paisley. "I told her she didn't need the extra sugar but she didn't want to listen" Serbrina says and crosses her arms and looks at Paisley with a disapproving look.
     We all talk for a little bit and then everyone has to go so we say our goodbyes and leave. First it's Iris and her family, then Paisley and her family, then Kayla and her family, then Serbrina and her mom, and then it's time for me. "Do you walk to school?" Harriet asked me before I walked out the door. "Yeah. Why?" I said. "We should walk to school together. I mean if you want to." "Yeah. That would be awesome." I reply as I walk out the door. "Ok. I'll wait for you tomorrow morning" she says and waves. I wave back and head to my house.
     In my room I pick out my outfit for tomorrow and start watching To All The Boys I've Loved Before. I finish the season and my mom yells for me to come down for dinner. I go down and eat roast with carrots and mashed potatoes.
    After dinner I decide to change into my pajamas so that I'm comfortable. I change and start watching F•R•I•E•N•D•S. I watch a couple episodes and become tired so I decide to go to bed.
