The night we got back to their house was a bit rough for all of us. We got into California just fine and to their house but that's when we all realized I had literally nothing with me. I didn't bring my clothes, I didn't have my phone, nothing. I spent the first night in Sebastian's shirt and a pair of Remington's sweats. Barely being able to sleep, I silently thanked God that I remembered Sebastian's number and that he never changed it from all those years ago.
As I was nodding off on the couch, Sebastian rubbed my arm, "Hey, come with me." He said and grabbed my hand, helping me up the stairs and into his room. I sat on his bed and looked around a bit before sighing and putting my head in my hands. "Are you okay?" Sebastian asked, I felt the bed dip slightly as he sat next to me. I shook my head as tears filled my eyes and I looked up. "I'm just so glad I finally got away, I didn't think I ever would." I smiled weakly as Sebastian wrapped an arm around me, "You're safe now. You're okay." He shushed me, "You saved me, Seb." I looked up at him through the hair I hadn't bothered to push away from my eyes. Sebastian chuckled a bit and shook his head, "you saved yourself, really." I rest my head on his shoulder for a moment. Lifting my head, I look at the man sitting to my right, "Thank you." I told him before standing up. Sebastian reached out, grabbing my hand and hold it for a long moment. He looked up at me and smiled softly, "Let's go to bed." Sebastian let my hand drop to my side and rolling over on the bed. I smiled and climbed under the covers next to him.
Waking up in a cold sweat was something I was never going to get used to. I looked over at Sebastian, sound asleep. I get he could get used to my writhing and jolting upright. It's been two months and I still had nightmares. I took a deep breath and pulled the covers back, stretching my legs over the side of the bed. I stood and walked into the bathroom connected to Sebastian's room. I closed the door behind me and leaned against the counter with my elbows. Running my hands over my face a few times, I shook my head. Looking in the mirror, I noticed Sebastian behind me, leaning on the doorframe, arms crossed and hair a mess.
"I didn't mean to wake you up." I told him, turning to face him. He shook his head and uncrossed his arms, coming close to me. "It's okay, I'm used to it. Are you okay?" He pushed my hair back. I closed my eyes and leaned into his touch as he let his hand rest against my cheek. I nodded after a moment and looked up to him. "I'm good." I told him before he pulled me into his chest. Stroking my hair, Sebastian kissed my forehead and pulled away form me. Sebastian tugged on my hand, wanting me to follow him.
We laid back down in his bed, Sebastian pulled into his arms once again. I let my head fall onto his chest and let out a sigh of contentment. "Hey," Sebastian said, looking down at me, "I love you. I always have and I'll always be here, not matter if you wake me up at 2 in the morning every single fucking night of our lives. I'd only ever let you do it, anyway." He told me and kissed my forehead again. I smiled and looked up to him, locking my lips on his. For a long time, our lips were in sync. We pulled away, grinning widely, "I love you too, Seb. Always have and always will." I told him, stroking his cheek. Sebastian dipped his head down, pressing his lips to mine once more.
Pulling away from him, I rested my head on his chest again as he wrapped his arms around my torso tightly. My leg was draped over both of his and my arm was lazily draped over his body. "I've been so in love with you since we were kids. I was so pissed we moved away." Sebastian's chuckled caused his chest to shake against the side of my face. I smiled as I began drifting to sleep. Sebastian running his hands through my hair and telling me stories of how much he's talked, thought and worried about me was enough for me to fall asleep peacefully with the love of my life and a smile on my face.
