Chapter 10

"The new aircraft crash on its first flight this afternoon."

Halos lumabas ang puso ko sa narinig, malutong na napamura si Tuecer bago napakuyom ng kamao. Tumayo sila kaya't  sumunod ako, nagtataka ang tingin ng iba naming kasama ngunit wala ng nagtanong dahil mabilis kaming nagpunta sa tahimik na lugar.

"Uncle just called, he needs you there. The news is all over the globe." Balisang ika ni Hesione, kitang-kita ko ang mabigat na paghinga ni Tuecer at nangungugat ang kanyang kamao, hinawakan ko iyon upang pakalmahin but I know it won't help.

"How about the passengers? What happened?" Napaatras ako nang malakas na sinipa ni Tuecer ang halaman, "Bakit nag-crash!?" He's burning in anger, his eyes are intensely dangerous, I am terrified to interfere, hindi sya mapakali at napahawak ng mahigpit sakanyang sentido.

"There are a lot of injured, one flight attendant died includes the captain and.." napaiwas ng tingin si Hesione, "13 passengers missing for 4 hours already." He heave a sigh, "Nagkakagulo ang buong media. It's a flight from Philippines to USA. You have to go back, its under investigation."

I bite my lowerlip before holding Tuecer's shoulder trying to calm him down, this accident is huge, mahihirapan ang kompanya nila sa mangyayari. There will be investors pulling out, the loss of the plane crash, they need to compensate for the damages, they will lose passengers making the airline gain deficit, they will have bad reviews and social image. I'm not being ahead of myself but I'm just thinking of the possibilites, this disaster will caused too much loss of everything.

Hindi na maipinta ang itsura ni Tuecer, katulad ko ay alam kong iniisip na niya ang mangyayari sa kompanya nila, his eyes are mixed with all emotions you'll ever imagine. "Calm down.." mahinahon kong ika bago sya hinila at niyakap ng mahigpit, naramdaman ko ang yakap niya pabalik, I was relieved, "You will get through this," hinaplos ko ang kanyang buhok, mas humigpit ang yakap niya, I am teary-eyed when we face each other, I pinched his cheeks, a grief can be shown on his eyes this time, "You need to go back now.."

He pulled my waist and embraces me again, his aroma and alcohol smell covers my nose, Hinagod ko nalang ang likuran niya, I didn't hear him talk after that, he was so shock that I can almost feel his mind's a mess for trying to absorb these sudden information.

"Hesione," I called him while Tuecer is packing his things in my room, "I know its emergency, pero lumalalim na ang gabi, can't you go back tomorrow morning?"

He clinched his jaw before shaking his head, "Its not my decision to make," napabuntong hininga ako, "Don't worry, I know how to operate a chopper. I'll let Tuecer rest, tinuruan niya ako nung papunta kami dito."

Halos magsalubong ang kilay kong nakatingin sakanya, "Dont you dare. Just let him operate it, I dont trust you." Sabay kaming napatingin nang marinig ang mabilis na pagbaba ng hagdan ni Tuecer, he's only holding a black hoodie, "Where's your things?"

His steps are big walking towards me with flaming hazel eyes before kissing me torridly, I gripped his shoulder as he pulled my waist, I heard Hesione's complaint in the background but I couldn't care, I answered his kisses back. Napadilat ako ng tumigil sya bago hinalik-halikan ng mahina ang aking pisngi at pabalik muli sa labi, "Dafuck, get a room! I can wait for 10 minutes, dimwit."

"What's happening here?" Dahan-dahan kong nilayo ang mukha ko kay Tuecer nang makarinig ng ibang boses, nakatulala si Arcelie habang nakataas ang kilay ni Zhavia, kasama nila si Hashem pati si Chaucer na subrang sama ng tingin sakin, kahit normal lang naman na lagi syang nakasimangot pakiramdam ko'y nasunog ako sakanyang titig.
