We all woke up to our second day in Croatia with a spring in our step. Yesterday was so fun that we were just way too over excited for the day ahead of us. We scurried out of bed and flung on our pyjamas and raced out into the corridor before the teachers.
Sydney : what are we doing today?
Harper : I don't know actually.
It was another 20 minutes we had to wait before everyone had finally made it out into the corridor. The teacher quietened everyone down before speaking.
Principal : right we're staying at the hotel all day today so you'll have the freedom of the full grounds to explore including the outside pool areas and don't forget the golf club at the far side of the hotel to which I'm sure ALL of you will be racing to get to!
He laughed to himself after that extremely sarcastic comment. We all just sat there in silence waiting for him to say that we can leave.
Principal : but we'll have to set some ground rules! Obviously no leaving the hotel grounds under any circumstances, make sure you don't leave your key card anywhere or you're technically screwed and everyone be back up in their rooms by 5 in the afternoon MAX! So that you have time to get ready for our meal out at a restaurant tonight in the city! So exciting things ahead! Woohh
We still remained silent.
Principal : um yeah so you're all 16 now so I'm sure you'll be able to look after yourselves for the day. Ok?
We all agreed.
Sydney : this is just so that him and Mrs stern can spend the day together. Am I right or am I right?
Sam : you're right.
Sydney : I know.
Principal : so let's go to breakfast shall we!?
The corridor erupted in chat as we made our way to breakfast in excitement. I was so excited to explore the hotel more because we haven't really seen the full thing yet. I mean, we've looked out the windows and stuff so we've seen what the outside looks like with all the pools and sun beds but we've not actually had the time to go and see what its like in person. So even if this day was just so that the principal and Mrs stern could have a day together, I was thankful of it.
Also, If Sydney is right and Mrs stern is staying then that means her class is too and THAT means Marcus and Martinus are. Which, in my opinion, isn't a bad thing.
We made it to the breakfast buffet that we were in yesterday morning and was suddenly hit with the smell of fresh food. I placed my plate down at our table and scurried over to the buffet as fast as I could as I was starving. Sydney was not long after me.
Sydney : oohhhh decisionsss
Sam : not really, I say just have everything.
Sydney : good plan.
We began bundling food onto our plate as there were queues forming behind us cause we were taking so long. When we were done we made our way bank to our table and began munching away. I noticed Harper walking towards us so I smiled.
Unexpectedly, she pointed to a group of people from the other school, who were calling her over to sit with them, to see if it was ok if she sat with them. I nodded so she went to go sit with them. I smiled to myself as I knew she liked one of the girls but I couldn't say it out loud cause Sydney still doesn't know about Harper's sexuality.
Sydney : what was all that about.
Sam : I don't know.
Sydney : well, we got a slightly unnecessary big table for two people don't you think?
