Ambush

Just as the Sun sneaked over the horizon I was awake and ready to go on my last journey, as I jumped of the tree and walked to the Gate and as I was standing outside I couldn't help but turn one last time around.

„Stay save Hak and Yona, I wish you good luck"

Then I started walking again, back to the mountains the day was nice and warm, I stopped in the mountains to stuff my pipe.

„Emi-Ri!"

I wasn't expecting to be called and flinched, and let some of the tabbaco and my pipe fall. I cursed under my breath as I picked my pipe up again and wiped the dust away, I turned around and was suddenly hugged tightly. As I froze for a moment I recognized that it was Yona how was hugging me and Hak standing behind her, he was grinning and held up his hand to greet me.

„What are you two doing here?"

Hak was about to say something but Yona was quicker

„How could you just leave us behind like that, you swore to my father and to my mother to protect me and to be by my side forever."

Ouch she didn't realized how much it stings to hear that, I knew that I had broken to be by her side forever. But my sacrifice would have protected her forever, I was ready to die for her.

„No Princess, I was about to Protect you. Let me go and I can assure you that no one has to suffer under this mess. . ."

„Not happening, First you are gone and then Hak wanted to leave me. I don't care if I'm selfish, I can't do this without you. And on top of that, you are part of my family. I can't let you go, I need you."

Yona looked up to me with tears in her eyes, but behind the tears their was starting to bloom something different. In my heart I felt the need to stay by her 'i knew it would go wrong when I saw her, damn it'

„your really not fair Princess"

„Oh you have no idea"

I heared Hak saying in an amused voice, my heart warned me not to leave her, my heart was still set to protect Hiryuu and she was so much like him but then again so different.

„Emi-Ri please"

„i simply can't win against you, can I?"

„Dose this mean. . ."

„arg fine, I will come with you."

Yona was so happy that she hugged me again and started to walk with a little jump in her step, I shake my head and started to walk next to Hak.

„So what is the plan from now on"

„Mondock explained to us that somewhere in the mountains would live some kind of Oracle we need to find, he would give us advise what we should do next."

A long moment of silence came between us before Hak broke it again

„I'm glad you came with us though"

Before I could say something back he started to walk faster so he would walk in front of Yona, I hadn't even known what to answer to that. I couldn't really believe that I was so important to them, do I really mean that much to anyone. I felt my chest warm a little, I was confused about this whole thing. Did I start to feel something for them? If so I never realized that I started to feel something for them. This was all so strange, maybe I was just tiered. We walked for a long time and ended up in a rocky mountain path, I grow tried of Hak and Yona Bikering all the time and Hak making it so obviously that he had a crush on Yona and she didn't even realized it, she just thinks that he is teasing her. Suddenly my ears twitched and I heared many footsteps, Hak pushed Yona on a wall and whispered something to her I wasn't really listening to. I pressed myself on the wall to and sight

„would you two please stop flirting, we've got company"

Hak shot a dead glare at me and Yona blushed slightly

„I know, foot soldier"

„maybe fourty"

„more like Fivety"

We started to walk faster, Hak still Bikering with Yona to distract her. We stopped as we saw the shimmering of the swords and the Arrows in the light above us, we were surrounded.

„Now it's going to get interesting, Hey Hak want to play?"

„Its time to kick some ass"

As if on cue the swordsman came running down the Hill, but with a quick slash of Hak's Naginata they were flying back. The second wave came running down and my hand wandered to my sword but Hak was faster with his Speer and slashed them away again.

„Oh come on, is that all you got?"

„Your so mean Hak, your keeping all the fun to yourself."

I let go of my Katana and put on the Claw cloves, just as Hak wanted to say something we were interrupted by a voice that made my stomach turn.

„your quick Lightning beast"

We turned around to see Kan Tea-Jun

„I figured it was your doing "

„I waited for this moment a long time. . ."

Kan Tea-Jun talked and talked like he had practiced this for month, but I wasn't being really listening like Hak and Yona. Even as Hak started to explain that he is not a General anymore I was only half listening, because I was watching our surroundings. My whole body was on guard and I watched everything around us very closely. Soon the real battle started and they were bringing everything they got against us, shooting their Bows and attacking with swords. Hak was holding the Princess in his arms as he was fighting of the arrows flying their way, I was also fighting some of their Swordsman. We waited for the right moment to jump to a higher path and started to run, Hak took care of the flying Arrows as I watched our Back as suddenly the princess fall down and an arrow flow right at her. . .
