Drakken and Shego broke into the lab of Dr. Cyrus Bortel to steal one of his devices. They ended up tripping an alarm, which alerted the sheriff's department and Kim. Kim arrived alone to stop them because she didn't want to call Liam or Stiles. She used to Ron, but she was usually the main part of any operation.
"Stealing someone else's inventions again?" Kim asked. "Whatever happened to inventing inventions?"
Kim ended up engaging in a fight with Shego. Shego was always looking for ways to take down Kim once and for all.
Shego laughed shrilly. "COME ON, KIM! WHERE'S YOUR SPIRIT?"
Kim spat out blood onto the ground, then wiped her mouth. She glared at Shego as her hair flew in front of her eyes. "I've always hated you, you bitch," she spat out.
Shego laughed once more, throwing green fireballs at Kim. Kim dodged the fireballs she kept throwing. She used her gymnastic skills to her advantage, trying to survive. Shego was losing her powers and Kim was getting tired, when the two were accidentally hit with Dr. Bortel's latest invention, the moodulator, a device controlled with a remote that forced the wearer to experience specific emotions.
The blast hit them strongly and caused the two women to fly back. Kim could feel her ribs cracking from the pressure of the blast and being flown into the wall. Shego was blown into a pile of crates, the wood smashing and getting thrown everywhere. Blood was dripping down from her nose, her hair disheveled, and her tan skin looking pale.
The sirens were nearing the trio. Drakken dragged Shego up and the two crawled out of the hole they created to get inside the lair. Kim struggled to get up, glaring at the hole they left out of. She needed to get out of the laboratory before the police caught her. She used her grappling hook and left out of the same hole, quickly getting into her car and driving back to her house.
Once she got home, Kim immediately got into the shower, noticing the purple bruises around her ribcage and the small burns on her arms. After showering, she slowly and carefully slid into bed, being extra careful about her ribs. She closed her eyes and finally felt the drowsiness kick in, when a rock hit her window. She groaned, getting out of bed to open the window. Almost immediately, a figure leaped through her window and into her room. The figure crushed Kim in a hug, causing her to let out a cry of pain.
"Kim, are you okay?" Liam asked, holding her back by the shoulders to look at her. He searched her face with his eyebrows furrowed in.
"What are you doing here, Liam?"
"Stiles told me about the call his dad got. I knew you would be there. Are you hurt? You are, aren't you? When I hugged you..." He lifted up her shirt.
