The past week had been non-stop go go go.
On Saturday and Sunday, Ryder and I worked on a song that was a shout out to our exes. Even though I didn't want to pursue singing as a career, it felt good to get things off of my chest. Ryder helped me write it and even got a famous rapper on the song too.
Monday, I did my first shoot with Victoria's Secret and it was an experience. Everyone made me feel so comfortable and I just couldn't wait to see the final result.
Wednesday was the day that Ryder and I officially finished the song that was called 'Hurts Like Hell'.
We flew to California, separately for work purposes, but we both ended up at the same place at the same time on. We used the coincidence to our advantage on Thursday to record the song.
"It's out." Ryder announced through the phone
I looked at over at the clock, 12:00 am on a Saturday.
I sat up in the bed of my hotel room and took a deep breath.
"Why are you so nervous? It's so good." He reminded me
"Because I have a famous older sister who is a singer and we're always getting compared," I explained
"Don't let that make you doubt yourself, it's getting good responses on twitter," Ryder informed me
I look over, "It's literally only been a minute."
"Yeah, I know." Ryder spoke softly
"Are you free for lunch?" He asked me
"I have a fitting at eight in the morning and then I'm free for the rest of the day, so yes." I answered as my phone buzzed
"My sister likes it, so that's good. She probably really wants to kill my ex now." I grinned
"Fine by me." Ryder mumbled
I raised an eyebrow, "What?"
"Nothing, lunch at noon at The Ivy?" Ryder asked me
"Yeah, sounds good." I agreed
"Cool, I'll see you in about twelve hours then." Ryder spoke
I smiled, "Yeah, Thank you so much again, Ryder."
"No problem, Holls. Goodnight." He ended
"Goodnight," I said before I hung up
I went to do my skincare routine and then set my alarms so I could be on time for my photo shoot in the morning.
As I went through my Instagram feed, one post caught my attention.
It was only two minutes ago, but I couldn't believe it.
RyderJames: So thankful that I got to co-write 'Hurts Like Hell' with this girl. Go check it out. Gonna have to convince her to do a duet soon ;)
