Being engaged to the man of my dreams at twenty years old was something that I would never happen to me.

Ryder was so perfect in my eyes despite his flaws. There wasn't anyone else I wanted by my side throughout the journey of life.

I love the surprise engagement party at my parents' house after with all of our family and friends. Everything just felt surreal.

After we got engaged, Ryder had to go to Maryland, New Jersey, and Connecticut got five days before he flew back to Charlotte for my sister's wedding. It ended up working out because I basically became her assistant to finish the last minute wedding details.

I picked up Wesley and kissed her cheek.

"Ready to go get Uncle Ry Ry?" I asked her as I strapped her into her car seat

Wesley was the cutest with her light brown half up half down hair, floral romper, and cute little pink bow.

She played with my phone as I made sure she was strapped in well.

"Mama." She babbled as she looked at my lock screen. It was a picture of Grier and me at my surprise engagement party.

I nodded and pointed at Wesley, "Who is that?"

She pointed to herself with a grin.

"You're so smart." I smiled at her

I handed her the baby snacks that Grier packed in a small container. I took back my phone and walked to the driver's seat.

I drove to the airport while Wesley babbled and eventually fell asleep. I felt like a Mom in my new SUV, with a baby in the back, and mirror attached to the backseat.

It was crazy to me that she was a year old, I remember when she was born. I loved the fact that Ryder was watching her grow up with me. I couldn't wait to watch her while her parents went on their honeymoon.

My phone buzzed and I glanced down to see Ryder's name on my phone.

"Hey, babe." I answered the phone quietly

"Hey, Holly. Are you here?" He asked me

"Yeah, Wesley is asleep though." I answered, "Grier is getting her nails done and waxing."

I heard some shuffling around as I looked around for Ryder.

"I see you." We both said at the same time

I unlocked my car for Ryder as he got closer.

He opened the trunk, put his things in softly, and then walked around to the passenger's seat.

"Hey, angel." He spoke as he reached over to kiss me

I kissed him back and instantly melted.

I missed his ass so much and we were only apart for five days. We were still in the post-engagement honeymoon phase and all I wanted to do was be with him.

"I missed you so much." I smiled as I grabbed his hand

Ryder held my hand and kissed it, "Well we got eight days together then a few weeks apart but we got this."

"Yeah, I know." I pointed out, "I can't wait to be in Europe with you."

"Oh yeah." Ryder grinned, "What's planned for today?"

I squeezed his hand tighter, "The rehearsal dinner and just catch up with each other. Plus we get Ev and Gray's house and it's gonna be nice as hell."

"Oh hell yeah, It's gonna be a good eight days." Ryder responded

We got to Ev and Gray's house in no time and lucky for us Wesley slept most of the way there.
