Ryder's family spent three days with us in Los Angeles following Thanksgiving. We had so much fun going to the beach, baking and just spending time together.
Cathleen helped Ryder and I decorate his house in LA a little bit more and it was so needed.
Ryder couldn't decorate to save his life.
But after his family left, we got to do a shoot with the People Magazine and it was an amazing opportunity.
They made Ryder and I feel so comfortable and free in front of huge a huge team of photographers, make-up & hair people, and others.
They didn't interrogate us, they just wanted our geuine relationship. Overall, I couldn't be happier with how this shoot went.
Even though I've done dozens of photoshoots, this one would always be my favorite.
I rolled over in bed to see Ryder on his phone.
"Morning, sleepy." Ryder began as he put his phone down
I looked over at the clock, "It's eight in the morning, this is pretty late for me."
"I know, we both forgot how to sleep in." Ryder sighed as I laid on his chest
Ry wrapped his arms around me, "Are you hungry?"
"Yeah, but I have a surprise for you at 4:30 this afternoon and don't ask what because my lips are sealed." I announced to him
Ryder had a grin on his face, "I'm liking this early birthday celebration."
"What are we gonna do for Christmas?" I wondered
"See, this is the hardest part of being from different states." Ry started, "Maybe we can just celebrate on the 23rd, fly home on the 24th, and meet up sometime before New Year's eve."
I nodded, "Ok, you gotta find an outfit for the Victoria's Secret carpet."
"I didn't forget. I'm gonna go cook your egg whites and toast." Ryder said to me before he got out of bed
"Thank you, love." I beamed before he walked out of the room
"Always." Ry exclaimed as he walked down the hall
I laid in the bed texting my family, scrolling through social media, or looking for another manager that would be reliable.
Ryder came back with two plates of egg whites, turkey bacon, and fruit.
We laid in bed watching Law & Order while we ate breakfast.
My phone buzzed, I glanced at it quickly, and then I let out a gasp.
"What?" Ryder croaked
"My Mom just texted me, you're nominated for a Grammy, best pop solo performance." I spoke excitedly
Ryder's jaw dropped, "Are you serious? This isn't some mistake?"
I shook my head, "No, baby, you did it. You're a Grammy-nominated artist."
This was one of Ryder's biggest dreams.
He always talked about it and he never thought it would happen this year. Especially since his tour was postponed.
But he did it and I never doubted him for a second.
"Oh my gosh, I did it." Ryder realized
I nodded as I moved our near empty plates onto the ground.
Ryder wrapped his arms around me and I smiled into his shoulder.
"I'm so proud of you, you have no idea." I whispered to him
