I felt a sudden gust of air on my face as I opened my eyes.
I stared at Ryder's blue eyes and his bright smile. To top it off, he was shirtless, the way I liked it.
He always blew air on my face when he was ready for me to wake up.
"It's Grammy Day, baby." Ryder reminded me. "There's no other girl I'd rather push down a red carpet."
I grinned, "Aww, that's the most romantic thing you ever said to me."
"I know, just remember the time I helped you take a bath in that cast." Ryder began as he sat on the edge of the bed, "Oh wait, I still kinda do."
I let out a small laugh as I sat up, "I appreciate it more than you know."
I took a deep breath and smelled the faint smell of food.
"You made breakfast?" I asked him
Ryder nodded as he stood up.
He grabbed my crutches as I sat up.
"You got it?" He wondered before I pushed myself up
I nodded, "Yeah, it's been twelve whole days."
"I'm joking, I think I do, but don't let me fall." I asked of him. Ryder stood in front of me just in case I fell. But I managed to get myself up, but Ryder had to help me down the stairs.
He got my leg elevated, fixed my breakfast, and then joined me at the table. I was so thankful for him. I was learning how to live a life without the use of my left ankle among other medical problems.
Ryder educated himself on what medicines I needed to take, how I needed to sleep, everything was amazing.
"Are you nervous tonight?" I question Ry as he cut his pancakes
"I mean yeah, but I'm just excited to be nominated." He answered me, "I just wanna enjoy the night."
"Well, I will always love and support you. Win or lose." I assured him
Ryder looked up at me and winked, "It's gonna be a good night."
Within the next two hours, there were at least ten people in our house for hair, makeup, clothing, our managers, it was hectic.
I let Ryder pick out my dress and I picked out his suit.
Ryder bought me a wheelchair and a scooter that was meant for someone with a broken foot. I liked that I had options for tonight other than my crutches.
It was nice to get all dolled up after being trapped in the house for so many days. I also just wanted to be with Ryder on his big day.
I loved the dress that Ryder picked out for me. It was a silver-blue glittery color and I felt like Cinderella.
I picked out a blue velvet suit jacket for Ryder with black pants. It looked amazing on him and I couldn't stop staring at him.
Holy fuck, he's gorgeous.
We took pictures before we headed to the Grammy's.
As I scooted down the red carpet, I began to wonder if I could make a new career out of my scooter.
"I can't wait to frame these." Ryder whispered in my ear as we posed with the scooter
Ryder's manager took the scooter away and Ryder kinda held me up so we could get a picture without one.
I even held my balance long enough to get a picture by myself, with Ryder standing three feet away.
