Riverdale high's football team hasn't one a football game since 2007. They've lost every game for 11 years straight. That was untill the God for saken team met toni topaz.

"Please coach shes a great player and it's not like she can hurt our team any more?!" Archie begs as the coach walked fastly down the hallway. "I will not have a girl on my football team." Coach clayton says glaring at the red headed boy. "Coach that's against the rules, you cant discriminate against her because shes a woman." Archie says throwing his hands up.

The coach stops to look at archie. "Alright, Andrew's shes got one chance to prove shes worth the team. If shes complete and utter trash you'll be running laps and suicides to you pass out. " he says before storming off. Archie jumps up out of excitement.

Cheryl blossom tied her laces tight. Standing back up straight to be met with veronica and Betty. "I dont get why you try so hard at cheer, it's not like they're gonna win a game this year. " veronica says leaning against the locker. "Shes right cher. " Betty agrees.

"Listen up you under achievers, it's not about the football team, it's about the cheer. " cheryl says crossing her arms in a sassy stance.

"Well the crowd doesnt notice the cheer leaders unless the football team is good. " josie says popping up to the trio. "Again another point proven." Betty says.

"Well maybe I like cheer. Now for asking so many questions all of you give me 50 squats!" Cheryl yells at the girls.

"Toni I've got news. " archie says setting his tray down beside the pink haired girls. "You finally looked up a glory hole?" Toni jokes and archie shakes his head. "No not yet. But it's even better. "

"You finally found out the Easter bunny isnt real?" Jughead ask from infront of toni. Toni snorts at his joke. "No guys the Easter bunny isnt real because Santa does it all, but that besides the point" toni and jughead share a questioning look.

"I got coach to let you try out. " archie says and toni jumps up in excitement. "Your not shitting me are you?!" Toni says enthusatically. "I'm not you get to try out Friday. " archie says pushing her shoulders a little bit. She hugs him tight.

"Yoru the best Andrew's. " toni says making the red head look away shyly.

Veronica lodge leant against Betty's desk as she talked with her and Kevin. "Did yall here the schools latest tea?" Kevin asked and the two girls raised there eyebrows. "No so you best spill it." Betty says veronica nodding.

"Toni topaz is trying out for the football team. " Kevin says and veronica and Betty share a look. "Pink haired hottie toni or booger eating toni?" Veronica ask.

"The one who's friends with jughead. " Kevin announces and the girls squeal. "Shes a total hunk, and shes friends with all the guys, I'm straight but I'd change for her." Betty says with a geeky smile veronica looks down at her comment.

"She doesnt hardly talk to anyone other than archie jughead and that tall one. " Kevin analysis.

"My money is she doesnt make it, coach clayton is sexist. " Betty shrugs. "Five dollars says otherwise. " Kevin says with a smirk. They shake hands on it.

Cheryl blossom pretended not to listen to the conversation from infront of them but she was listening to it every seccond. A girl was joining the football team? This was so unlike riverdale it was ridiculous.

Cheryl put her pen down thinking how exactly did she feel about this. If toni was any good the football team could win a game meaning the cheer squad could win a game. Or she could be complete trash and make matters worst.

"All I know is she trys out today at 5 and thats that. " Kevin says. Cheryl got the idea to go watch her tryout to see if she was any good.

Archie and toni were in the locker room toni throwing on a practice Jersey and basketball shorts. "You'll do great topaz." Archie says patting her shoulders soothingly. "I hope so." She tries her sneakers.

"Remember you want to be either a wide receiver or fullback. Those are the two positions that coach wants. Plus your fast on your feet. " archie reminds as toni pulls her hair up.

"You ready?" Archie ask and toni nods. "As ready as I'll ever be. " toni says as they both run to the feild.

The whole practice team wa slimed up riverdale best players on defense were out. Archie runs up to his quater back postion. "She'll play as a wide receiver if shes horrible your being benched for two weeks. " coach says glaring at archie. Archie nods as he looks at the coach. "I want a bulldog slant. " the coach calls. Archie looks at toni she was tiny but fast and slick. He looks at the linmen who were two times her size. "That's the hardest plays not even chuck ca-" he gets cut off

"I said I want a bulldog slant! " he screams and archie nods. Toni gives him a nod "snap on two!" Archie screams to the team. " one, " he looks at a eager toni. "Two. " the center snaps the ball and archie steps back.

Cheryl blossom sat at the bleachers watching archie and the pink haired girl run to the feild. She watches as they all line up. You could tell archie cared about her the way he watched her before the snap but she couldn't decide if in a friendly manner or what.

She watches as toni runs through the o line men and the ball lands perfectly in her arms. She jokes three guys before running it all the way there. Cheryl was taken back by how good she truly was. She was kind of cute to. In a friendly way of course.

Archie runs up to her giving her a huge hug. Cheryl smirks at the two. The coach looked happy yet aggravated which confused cheryl if she was honest.

"Okay do a compact curl. " coach yells to the players archie nods and yet again toni perfectly completes the route. Cheryl smirks to herself as the short girl starts to moon walk on the feild.

After everything was over the team took a knee. "Here the team. Reggie mantle," cheryl shrugs at that not hating him but not loving him either. "Archie andrews." Everyone claps at that "chuck clayton, moose Manson Jacob Miller Jaden brown lebron Smith aiden connor and toni topaz. The starters from last year too." Everyone cheers at the names called. " good playing today. " the coach says before walking away. Cheryl some what feels happy for the topaz gal.

Everyone leaves and toni runs up to get water from the stan nearly fifty feet from where cheryl was. Toni downs the gator aid bottle eying cheryl. "So you just casually come to watch the football players?" Toni ask leaning against the railing. Cheryl glares at her. "If you must know I came to see what all the fuss was about the girl trying out for the football team. " cheryl says truthfully.

"Well was I as good as you hoped?" Toni ask with a smirk and cheryl had this weird feeling in her chest but she shakes it off with a scoff. "As if, you were nearly good. " cheryl says standing up. Toni's cocky smirk falters for a seccond but she regains it quickly. "That just means I have to try harder next time. " cheryl looks her up and down. Cheryl had to admit she was hot. The way her sleeves were rolled up showing off her toned arms or her perfect jawline and how short but adorable she was. But she pushed the thoughts deep in her brain.

"Yes you will cha cha." Toni bites her lip as she watches cheryl strutt away.
