Chapter 12

    

When I wake up, I hear the sound of screaming outside my apartment door. My eyes spring open,and I quickly jump out of bed,and run out into the hallway in my pajamas. This is one time i'm actually glad I don't sleep just in my underwear.

From down the hallway I hear door slamming that I must of mistaken for screaming,but I do seem to hear the faint screaming of people. They don't sound like the usual Dauntless-fun laugh that I normally hear. It sounds more like that their screaming in terror.

I run down the hallway I hear the door slamming and screaming coming from. The slamming becomes so loud that my ears feel numb,and the screaming makes it twice as worse. When I turn the corner,I see all the doors down that one hallway randomly opening and shutting. People are screaming out of their apartment when they get a chance and are running like maniacs down the dark hallways. I look around frantic and notice Uriah and Will along with some others that I don't know opening and shutting the doors with wide smiles on their faces. I roll my eyes and smile a little at what I'm seeing. I knew that they would end up doing something like this sometime soon. Uriah always talked about the crazy ghost adventures that he had with all his ghost buddies. He makes trips from here to the ghost plain trying to gather up more friends for his so called hauntings.

I turn around fixing to walk away but see something behind one of the doors. I stop and look closely and I immediately notice his face. It's Tobias. He just looks around with a questioning look on his face. I wouldn't blame him. All this ghostly business sometimes still makes me confused.

"Tobias!" I screaming over the loud slamming doors "TOBIAS!!!" I scream louder. He looks at me,and his facial expression switches. I can't describe the face he has,but he still seems confused.

"Tris!?!" he screams back at me. He closes his eyes and shakes his head and he shouts "Christina!!!" back instead.

I almost thought he knew who I was,but I guess not. The one question that does seem to swim in my head is 'Why did he say Tris?'"

I look over at Uriah who gives me his best smile and winks at me then disappears. The doors all slam at once and don't open again. My first thought was that Uriah and Will planned this.

I just stand there as Tobias runs up to me out of breath and points behind him.

"Do you know what happened back there?" he asks me with eagerness.

I look behind him and notice Uriah pointing dramatically at his back. I almost bust out laughing but decide against it.

"No,but why did you call me Tris?" I say trying my best to sound confused.

"Nevermind that. I saw you. You saw something through one of those doors,and you didn't even looked frightened. Not one bit."

"I've been through every kind of danger there is to name. That's why I didn't freak out. I thought I saw someone behind one of the doors."

I glance over at Uriah who gives me a kissy face. My face contorts into a slight smile that I quickly hide.

"What was that?" Tobias says quickly.

"What was what?"

"You just smiled at something from behind me." he says looking behind him.

"I'm just expecting for those doors to start flying open again." i say laughing slightly to make it believable.

"I don't believe it,Christina." he says with a serious look on your face.

"Well,what do you want me to tell you?" I say feeling sweat build up on my forehead.
