I wake up after an hour and I roll up the blinds in my room, the sun blinds me a little but once my eyes adjust I lay there and look out to the ocean. I stand and open one of my suitcases to start unpacking. I always found packing and unpacking fun but I always have a problem with keeping things in order, maybe now with my room being so nice I'll want it to stay clean.

I have a shower once I have unpacked most of my things, it makes me feel more human, more settled. I get dressed and I walk downstairs where my grandma is reading.

"Hey." I say, walking to her and sitting down.

"Hey, how are you doing?" She asks, putting her book down and lifting her glasses, sliding them in her hair.

"I'm just a bit hungry." I say honestly. "But I wanted to say sorry about before; I was a bit short with you." I say.

"Don't worry about it." She says standing up. "I know it must have been a lot, I forgot it's not normal back in the UK." She says. I smile and nod. But I shrug it off. "Now where did I leave that purse?" She asks herself.

"Purse?" I ask, looking around.

"Ah, I left it in your car." She says, my heart skips a beat when she says my car, I actually have a car, it's truly a shock.

"I can get the keys if you want." I say.

"No it's okay." She says. "Let's see what's in the fridge first she says. I nod and we go to the kitchen. The fridge isn't empty but there isn't really anything to make a meal out of.

"Well, we could order in." I suggest.

"Oh, honey no. That's only for when we're sad, Carlton has the afternoon off so maybe you could take your new ride for a test run? Shops aren't that far." She says. I bite my lip, driving isn't worrying, I love it, but directions were never something I was good at.

"Okay, I can try." I say, taking a deep breath of determination. My grandma makes a quick list of things she needs as I put on some makeup and get my keys, I'll have to ask her for money for the food, but it shouldn't be too awkward. I walk downstairs ready to go and I smile as my grandma walks me to my car. I unlock the door, get in and strap myself in. My old car that my mum and I shared was foreign so the steering wheel isn't even on the wrong side; it makes me a bit more comfortable.

"The purse is in the glove box." My grandma says. I nod and get out the pristine white purse and hand it to her. She doesn't take it so I sit there awkwardly for a second.

"It's another present isn't it?" I ask. She smiles and nods. I smile as I sigh a happy sigh and I open the purse. There are two cards and a healthy stack of notes.

"Grandma..." I trail off.

"Now, the gold one is only for petrol, that one is in your name, the silver one is for anything else, there is a note with the pin numbers, remember them and destroy the note. I put cash in there too just in case and Jacob put in the main destinations on the GPS. There is an AUX cord in the glove box. The car is full with petrol so you won't need to fill it up. The papers are in that compartment but I'm sure you won't get pulled over." She says casually. I bite my lip and nod.

"Thank you so much." I say, putting my purse away. "It really means a lot." I add.

"Don't worry about it honey. Now here is my list but you can get whatever else you want." She says. I nod and turn the key, the car doesn't even stutter. I put my hands to my face and I smile. "Go have fun." She says. I smile and slowly accelerate, I open the gate and I drive down the road. I pull into the side and set the GPS to take me to "Food Stores #1" I plug in my phone and I listen to music on the way. I eventually get so comfortable I sing along quietly.
