Chapter 4: Close to him

"Here let me help you out" he says to me.

"Its...It's you" I say to him as he lifts me up.

"I'm sorry do I know you?" He asks me with a confused facial expression. He doesn't remember me. What will I say. 'Oh you know I was that creepy  girl who was checking you out' I don't think so.

"Am I missing something here?" Blondie says then I realise the position we are in, no wonder almost everyone is staring. He has his hands on my waist. He realises this too and immediately he drops them.

"First you take my seat then now you're tryna steal my boyfriend." She says to me. Almost challenging me.

"Babe, calm down." He says to her.

"I'm uhhh I'm just gonna leave" I say to them as I walk away.

"Good choice" I hear her say as I walk out of the cafeteria. I don't know where I'm going but I walk down the hallway as I walk outside. I find a large field where they play sports and I head to sit by the bleachers.

I sit there alone as I take out my lunch. My dad packed a chicken mayo sandwich for me and a juice box with a packet of chips.

I hum to a song I like as I devour the taste of my sandwich. I stare out in the field as there are birds flying and fighting. Everyone just decides to chill in the cafeteria during lunch while it's so peaceful outside. I sat under a tree for the shade.

I hear branches and leaves and I jolt my head so quick out of fear.

"Oh hey I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" some guy appears. He has curly short hair and pink full lips. His eyes are dark brown and he has a light brown skin.

"Why are you sitting here all by yourself?" He asks me and I just shrug.

"Don't talk much?" He says again as he sits next to me, making himself comfortable.

"I'm Austin by the way." He says to me while smiling. Oh gosh he's so hot.

"Zanda" I reply.

"Zanda, that's a unique name" he says to me.

"So you're definitely new here, nobody chills this side" he says to me.

"Well I've been homeschooled my whole life" I surprise the both of us me because I shared this information with him and him because he did not expect that.

"Oh that sucks, you must be terrified, no wonder you are seated here all by your self." He says to me.

"Austin c'mon let's go" some pretty girl says to him.

"I'm sorry Zanda but I have to leave, see you around" he smiles at me as he walks away with the girl. I check my time and realise that I only have 5 minutes left til the bell rings for the next period.

I pack my lunch quickly as I rush inside. Trying to find C2 for my next period which is English.

I walk inside and the bell rings immediately. Then I realise that I left my bag in Mila's locker. Shit

The hallway gets packed as people rush to their classes. I decide to wait for Mila by her locker.

I am so late for class.

"There you are, I've been searching for you all over this place, you can't just disappear like that, here's your bag" she hands it to me as she walks to her class.
