Chapter 16: amusement park

I wake up the next day with a terrible headache.

Usually I would've been up earlier on but honestly today I don't feel like facing everyone. I'm forced to get out of bed because I really need to use the toilet.

I'm hoping that my cheeks aren't swollen or red. Today is day 3 of our vacation.

I freshen up for the day and I wear my off shoulder tight maroon dress. With gladiators. I tie my hair in a messy bun then I go out of my room, I find everyone at the dinner table eating breakfast.

"Morning honey, help yourself with some pancakes" Corletta says and I smile at her as I take a seat.

"Morning guys" I say and they all respond. My dad doesn't say anything as he is just looking down at his food and eating. I know I need to apologise for my actions.

"Today we are gonna go to an amusement park" Corletta says and we all smile in joy.

"Yeah, so dress comfortably because we are gonna be on our feet the whole day" Corletta says.

After having breakfast we decided to clean around. After that we all went to our rooms to get ready for the day.

I showered for 20 minutes with my amarula shower gel, washing my hair with my amarula shampoo. I'm obsessed with the amarula scent because although I was too young when my mom passed, from the scent of her belongings, it's amarula and according to my dad, my mom was a lover for nature and she had an amarula tree.

After showering I enter my room and I look for some clothes to wear. I decide to go with blue torn boyfriend jeans and a black bodysuit with the word 'maybe' on it, written in pink. Then I decide to wear my baby pink addidas shoes.

I blow dry my hair but I don't straighten it. Instead I tie it in a tight but comfortable high bun, letting a few strands fall on the sides. Tying my hair tight makes it look darker then my tips look blonde. I apply some light make up, and a little blush on my cheeks so that my cheeks aren't pale. I apple eye shadow and mascara, then I top it off with some lip gloss that is very glossy. I grab a black denim jacket. I look at my self for the last time. Once I'm satisfied with my appearance I leave my room.

We are now driving to the amusement park on the other side of town. According to the driver it's a 30 minutes drive.

I have my IPod and I side bag with me, I'm sitting by the window seat on my left is Chasidy in the middle then Conner on the other side of the window. Dad and Corletta are seated in front of us.

Everyone is focused on their phones. I grab my IPod and I start listening to music.

I look out the window as we drive and I hum to a song by Halsey.

We finally get to the amusement park and there are a lot of people. I don't remember the last time I've been to an amusement park. I smile like a seven year old when they see ice cream. The car stops and we get off the car while grabbing our belongings.

We pay for our tickets and we make our way in.

Once we're inside, the twins and I decide that we're gonna go to the rides and we leave Corletta and dad.

"Check your phones incase we call" Corletta yells as we run off.

We get to a ride called Miners Revenge. Chasidy wanted us to watch how the ride works but Conner and I wanted to be surprised so we didn't see how it works.

We stood in line until it was our turn to get on the ride. So apparently this ride splashes with water so we decided to sit at the back row cause the water hardly gets to you.
