The MC85 Star Cruiser Admiral Raddus was becoming increasingly cramped.
Every hour, new evacuees arrived from Resistance ships that the First Order had blown up.

Corran saw another group of transports land on the hangar deck, which had been hastily repaired. If he remembered correctly, they were from the last ship that was left besides the Admiral Raddus. He sighed. The entire Resistance fleet was destroyed. If they ran out of fuel, they would be done for. Then the Resistance would be just a blip in the history of the galaxy. He saw no hope in the eyes of the people leaving the transports.
It was frustrating to watch. The Jedi turned to leave the hangar when he saw Poe Dameron coming from the emergency commando bridge. The captain looked more than annoyed as he tried to pass Corran. His friend stopped him and pulled him into a corner.
"What happened?"
Poe looked at the young Rendar and tried to loosen his friend's grip.
"They tried to deny me access to the bridge."
Corran smiled.
"You wouldn't be you if they had succeeded."
Dameron nodded.
"Holdo finally let me onto the bridge. But she still refused to tell me about her plans."
He slammed his fist against the wall. The young Jedi tried to calm him down.
"She mustn't tell you about her plans. The chain of command..."
But Dameron didn't seem to hear what his friend was trying to tell him.
"Her plans... I recognized her plans when I heard the noise and looked at the bridge monitors. She wants to evacuate the Raddus."
The Jedi looked at him, dumbfounded.
"Evacuate? But the transports are defenseless. No shields, no weapons... this is madness, Poe."
His friend nodded.
"That's exactly what I told her, but our purple-haired leader wouldn't listen."
Corran frowned.
"Did you just tell her or did you act in your typical manner?"
"I don't know what you mean," came the reply from Dameron. "Ah ok, maybe I got a little louder and overreacted a little. But she's jeopardizing the survival of the Resistance!"
The ace pilot stared at his comrade.
"Calm down, Poe," Rendar said, touching his friend's arm.
"There has to be a way to end this," the captain murmured.
Corran raised an eyebrow.
"You're talking about mutiny?"
"Why not? I'm pretty sure General Organa would never give up the only capital ship we have left. She would agree with me."
"Do you think others will follow you?"
"Of course, Lieutenant Connix has already helped me get Finn and Rose on their way to Canto Bight without telling Holdo. I'm pretty sure she'll agree and help me, but what about you, Corran?"
Poe looked at his friend expectantly.
The young Jedi pondered the question. Finally, he came to a decision.
"Alright, I'm in, Poe."
Dameron smiled at him.
"I knew you'd support me. Now we need to gather the others to discuss how to proceed. I'll meet you in my quarters at 0800."
With those words, he left to find more allies for his plan.
