While Corran settled in for another lonely night on Crait, his sister Tasherit made contact with their parents.

She didn't know where they were, but she was pretty sure she could reach them on one of the family frequencies. After tuning in to the first of the frequencies, the young woman leaned back in her seat and called the Outrider.
"Trader's Luck for Outrider... Do you read me?"
The Jedi recognized her daughter's voice and frowned.
"I read you, Trader's Luck. Wasn't the Sagittarius your ship, Tash?"
Her daughter chuckled.
"I've got a better one now, Mama. Where are you and the rest of the family?"
" We're on Nar Shaddaa. The Outrider needs some repairs and upgrades. I bet you're calling for a reason, sweetie."
Sweetie... it sounded strange to be called that by her mother, even though she was a grown woman about to get married. Tasherit made a face and Jaden grinned when he saw that.
"Did you hear Corran calling in the Force, Mama?"
Nomi stared at the comm for a moment before answering.
"No, I haven't heard from him since we left D'Qar."
Tasherit looked at Jaden and wondered briefly why her mother hadn't heard the call of her youngest son, who was in a desperate situation. She sighed.
"They evacuated D'Qar shortly after you left. The First Order pursued them and were even able to track them in hyperspace. It was a nasty surprise. They were forced to evacuate the Admiral Raddus, which was the last remaining ship of the entire fleet. Only a few transports made it to the planet, where a battle ensued." At this point, Tasherit hesitated to continue. But then she gathered her courage and told her mother what had happened. "Corran was badly wounded, Mama. My brother needs help, and fast, if he is to survive."

The Jedi nodded thoughtfully. So the rumors about the First Order's ability to track ships in hyperspace were true. But that was of no importance to her. The most important thing was the information that her youngest son was alive.
"Corran is on which planet?"
"He's on Crait, Mama. There's an old Alliance base there from the Civil War, it seems."
"Crait... never heard of it. It must have been before I joined the Alliance that they set up a base there. Are you nearby?"
"Yes, Mama, we were on our way to Hoth. Crait's not exactly around the corner, but we're still closer than you are on Nar Shaddaa. We'll reach the planet in two standard days."
"That's a long time if Corran is badly wounded, Tash."
"I know, Mama, but we'll do our best to get there in time. We've never heard of this planet, otherwise we'd surely know a shortcut. So we can only hope for the best."
Tasherit sighed. The young Jedi knew that her mother had been through a lot in her life and had always remained strong. But the loss of her youngest son would be the breaking point. Her mother would not be able to bear it if that happened. She looked at her fiancé with a worried expression.
"We'll be there in time, Nomi, I promise," Jaden Katarn said, trying to reassure his future mother-in-law.
"You heard Jaden, Mama, we'll be there in time."
"I hope so," came the Jedi's reply. "May the Force be with you."
Her daughter smiled as she heard this blessing from her mother.
"May the Force be with you," she replied.
Then she disconnected, stood up and walked to the bunk, followed by Jaden. She sighed and slumped down on the cot.
In two standard days they would reach Crait and she was afraid that by then it would be too late.
