Corran slept fitfully because of his injuries. He was unable to heal them completely and developed a fever. He had dreams, dreams of the past. In his dreams he saw the burning academy, Ben's betrayal and Sheila's death.
He woke up with a scream, looked around in confusion and didn't know where he was at first.
His hands were trembling as he pulled the blanket tighter around his body. The young Jedi was pretty sure he was going to die here if his sister didn't come to the rescue soon. He sighed and leaned back again. Cold sweat trickled down his forehead. But eventually Corran fell asleep again.

"Corran"
The youngest of the Rendar triplets heard a whisper and saw a silhouette in the distance. The silhouette slowly approached him and kept whispering his name. Then he could finally see who was talking to him. A smile lit up his face.
"Sheila"
The young woman appeared before him as he remembered her. How she looked before she lay slaughtered on the landing pad of Luke Skywalker's academy. Sheila, the great love of his life.
She smiled and he could feel her touch on his cheek. He turned his head and kissed the palm of her hand. It was soft and warm, like years ago when he had fallen in love with Sheila. Corran felt tears in his eyes.
"You're back..."
The young woman put her index finger to her lips.
"Shh, don't speak, my love. Just listen to me. I want you to survive. It's not time for you to die. I love you, Corran, but I don't want to see you where I am soon. Do you understand?"
The young Jedi nodded and stroked Sheila's hand. He felt happy and began to relax. Sheila took a cloth, wiped the sweat from Corran's forehead and smiled at him.
"You'll make it, my love."
The Rendar offspring finally slept soundly after Sheila took him in her arms and softly sang him a lullaby.

When Corran woke up the next morning, Sheila was gone.
The young Rendar sat up slowly and winced. He looked around and tried to get up. Corran gritted his teeth as the pain hit him with full force. He slumped back onto the cot and shivered. Pulling the blanket around his body, he eased the pain with the Force. Eventually he was able to stand up and limped to the crate where he had found protein bars and bottles filled with water.
It wasn't a large supply, and since he didn't know how long it would take his sister to reach Crait, he was forced to ration both.
Corran still had a fever and it would be difficult to ration the water. He sighed as he realized this. Then he began to eat. He chewed on the protein bar and downed it with some water. It didn't taste too bad, but that was certainly due to the hunger he had. It wasn't much, but the protein bar contained everything he needed to survive. Corran was grateful to whoever had brought the crate on the transport.

After finishing his meal, he limped back to the cot and lay down again. He closed his eyes and hoped that Sheila would keep him company again.
