Chapter 21- I call this; The Chapter of References

Ever get those terrible, squeaky beds that never let you sleep? The ones that groan under your weight, making you feel like a whale? The ones that titter every single time you take a breath, as if living is something you're not suppose to do on that bed.

They keep you up at night, making you either wonder if the bed is gonna collapse being you ate one too many donuts, or you're waiting to see how much your patience will give.

Usually this squeaky bed is the first thing you wake up to, opening your eyes, and being greeted by the bed groaning; "Get the hell off, you obese whale!"

Well, that's how Lucy felt when she woke up to unintelligent titters and what not. She was usually an early riser, up with the sun. But for some reason she didn't want to get up.

Sorta like those days when your bed is ten times more comfier because of how warm it is, or the way the blankets are positioned, or maybe the position you're in. It's when you're in that position where nothing else matters, and you almost force yourself back into sleep in hopes of never moving.

For Lucy, she felt like she was snuggling a bunny. Warm, soft, and squishy. It was firm, which reassured her (no one likes falling out of the bed, not even the squeaky, annoying beds).

But of course, there was squeaking. Lucy's mind was foggy, her eyes were irritated and didn't open the entire way. She yawned, then closed her mouth her mouth quickly. She hoped she didn't just kill someone with her breath. She wanted to sit up, but something told her not to. Something asked "why?" and she didn't really have an answer.

But the squeaking was more audible now. Lucy began to realize that it wasn't squeaking so much as the whispers of an excited Wendy.

Lucy looked behind her, almost jumping out of her skin when she saw Natsu, sleeping soundly like a child, his face inches from her's. The only reason she didn't jump out the bed and run to the nearest book store to buy "How to Regain Dignity for Dummies" was because she was still half asleep. Natsu was comfort, so the only reasonable thing that was in her mind at that moment was get closer, and get warmer.

So she did, and she felt him hug her in his sleep. Her eyes closed again. Hugging Natsu was like rolling in a pile of clean laundry right out the dryer. It was hot, but not too hot for her to be uncomfortable.

Lucy heard Wendy whisper fiercely again. Despite herself, Lucy sat-up. She rubbed her eyes and stretched, a yawn climbing up her throat. "I feel like shit," she mumbled, wanting to rest her head against the pillow (and allow she denies this, she also wanted to hug Natsu again).

"Oh, good morning, Lucy!" Wendy said looking up from a bitter looking Carla. Lucy always wondered why Carla, who spent so much time with the bubbly Wendy, had developed a sorta negative (em, I would have said bitchy) outlook on people.

"Good morning, Wendy. Did you sleep well?" Erza then snore loudly, and Wendy smiled sheepishly. "Sorta," she said, scratching the back of her head. But then she smiled at Natsu. "Lucy, you looked really comfortable." Lucy blushed, twiddling her fingers.

"No one else is awake?" She asked, brushing off the topic. Wendy shook her head.

"Just me, you, and Carla."

"Should we get ready?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah, soon. Our train is gonna leave in an hour." She stretched and yawned. "It's gonna be a long trip, Lucy."

Lucy laughed. "Yeah, I second that thought."

"Excuse me ladies and gentleman, The 7:35am train to Griffens will be leaving shortly, I repeat, the 7:35am train to Griffens will be leaving shortly." Said the train station's intercom. Lucy, Natsu, and the others scrambled onto the train, hoping to find a car available.
