"What do you want to tell me?"

Jun finally turned to look at her in the eye.

"I...I love you."

If Seoyul was shocked, she didn't express it.

"You're kidding." She said slowly. "You are, right? You're just saying this to make me stay."

"Why would I say something like that? Why would I lie to you?" Jun asked.

Seoyul bit her lip. "Like I would know."

"Seoyul, I just confessed to you. Surely you should have another response?"

"You haven't noticed? After two years?" She asked softly. "It's so obvious, Junhui, I'm not human."

"So? What difference does that make?"

Seoyul laughed. "Wow, I'm appalled. You're not even asking me about who I really am. For all you know I could a madman aiming to murder you in your sleep."

Jun rolled his eyes. "If that was true, you would've killed me by now."

"You've got a point."

Silence filled the room.

"Why would you reject me?" Jun blurted out.

Seoyul looked down. "Because I don't deserve you."

His eyes were tender as he lifted her chin, forcing her to look at him. "Why don't you?"

"I'm a murderer, Jun. I steal souls, to make things worse. I caused the death of my own father. I caused the death of at least 5 people already. After all that, how could I deserve an adorable sweet fluffball like you?"

Jun looked away. "You've murdered."

"Yes."

"What else can you do, seriously? Why didn't you tell me? Why did you have to hide it all away from me?" His voice rose.

"What do you think?" Seoyul fired back. "I'm not stupid, Junhui. If I told you I was a murderer, if I told you I could steal your soul at any point of time, if I told you about my identity, if I told you about my powers, would you have let me stay here? No."

"Then why haven't you taken my soul and kill me already? Why did you even come here?" Jun glared at her.

Seoyul's stare bore into his eyes. "Now you're asking me something reasonable."

"Are you trying to suggest that all my previous questions were unreasonable?"

"Now I'm trying to suggest that that question was unreasonable."

Seoyul paused, then continued. "Fine. I'll let you ask me three questions. Three questions, then I'm leaving."

Jun's gaze was serious. "So you'll answer all honestly?"

"Yes."

"Why did you come here?"

"Oh, that." Seoyul sighed. "I was forced to come here. I don't even know why. It's just like, one day, someone comes in, and says, 'Oh, go to this house and stay there for two years.' And that's it. There's not much I can tell you."
