Seoyul reached for her neck for the tenth time that day, only to find that her necklace was missing, gone from her neck.

It would probably be on his neck right now, she thought.

She unclasped the sliver chain on her neck, and Jun noticed the small vial of violet potion hanging from it.

"You can have this."

He took it, his fingers moving toward the vial. "What's this?"

"My soulmate necklace. I'm supposed to give it to my soulmate. Which, very unfortunately, happens to be you."

Jun smirked. "Come on, you know you're secretly happy."

She smirked back. "Maybe."

She picked up her bag just as Jun spoke. "So, what's the liquid for?"

Seoyul looked at it for a few seconds. "Oh. That."

"If you think you're going to lose me, just...drink that. Only if you're extremely desperate. Because, knowing you, you'll probably want to drink that everyday just to see me."

He laughed. "If you hadn't told me, I actually would."

Seoyul threw the window open. "I'll see you again, okay? I promise."

"When?"

She could hear the hope tinting his voice.

"Not...not really anytime soon."

Seoyul couldn't bear to look at Jun.

She swung her legs over the window sill, gazing into the night sky before her.

"I love you," she heard him say.

She turned around, a small, sad smile on her face.

"I love you too, Junhui."

She got up from her chair, opening a drawer with a jewellery box inside it.

"I'd better get myself another necklace before you keep touching your own neck."

She looked through her choices, finally settling for a thin chain with a tiny ruby hanging from it.

It wouldn't match her natural eye colour, but it would complement her other eye colour.

She clasped it around her neck and threw herself onto her bed, facing the ceiling.

"I miss you."

While still lying on the bed, she reached for her bedside table, groping for her blue folder.

Her hand accidentally swept the rest of the files onto the floor, papers flitting around the carpet, the colour-coded plastic folders all crashing on the marble tiles.

"Pabo." She pinched herself for being so careless, and bent down to sort out all the documents which had all flown to another corner of the small room.
