Jun wished his eyesight was better in the dark. Or, he wished that the lights were turned on.

It was definitely a girl, he knew. The long, flowing hair, the way the figure moved so gracefully around the room.

How'd she even get in in the first place?

Or maybe...?

He froze, as the figure slowly advanced toward him, the sound he distunguished as heels clicking across the floor increasing in volume with every step she took.

She smiled at him, before sitting down at the side of his bed, before finally speaking to him, accenting every syllable.

"Wen. Jun. Hui."

He smiled, too.

The voice he hadn't heard for one year.

She felt his arms snaking around her waist, his lips at the back of her neck.

"I missed you," Seoyul whispered.

She knew he missed her, even without him saying it.

She could feel him silently smile against her skin.

He finally moved away to take a good look at her, noting the heels she'd carelessly kicked off on the floor.

"Since when did you wear those?"

She glanced at them. "Well, they make me look taller, even if they make me feel like my toes are going to get destroyed."

He smirked. "You're jealous of my height, aren't you?"

Seoyul just laughed. "Shut up."

"Since when did you start wearing dresses too anyway?"

She grimaced. "It'd be a waste to throw them all out."

"When you lived here, you only had three dresses in really plain colours, and here you are wearing..." He squinted. "Purple?"

"Lilac."

They stayed silent for a few moments, drinking in each other's presence.

Jun broke it, hesitantly. "How long are you staying?"

Seoyul groaned. "One week. Wish I could stay longer, but my sister wouldn't let me."

"Can't you defy her or something?"

"She might come over and then when she finds out I'm with you, she'll call the authorities on me and I'm as good as dead."

Jun took her hand and kissed it lightly, looking into her eyes. "Stay with me tonight?"

"What?" Confusion was written on her face.

"Sleep with me."

Seoyul looked uneasy. "Do you mean...literally or..."

Jun slapped her hand. "Kim Seoyul!"

She looked away from him, muttering something like "How was I supposed to know".

"I could go next door..."

"You're staying here, darling."

Seoyul gave him a look like he was crazy. "I've been sleeping in that room for two years, Junhui, I'll be fine th—"

Jun cut her off, trapping her lips in a tight, desperate kiss.

Only two seconds into it, she shoved him away, causing him to yelp as he tumbled off the bed.

Jun gave her a pained expression as he climbed back up the bed. "Did you have to do this to your boyfriend?"

"Since when did I agree to you being my boyfriend?"

"Um..." Actually, come to think of it, he couldn't remember if he'd asked her about that.

Seoyul smirked. "Knew it."

She stood up. "I'm going next door."

Jun quickly grabbed her hand, making her shriek and pulled her on the bed, pinning her onto the mattress. "You're not going anywhere, Kim Seoyul."

Seoyul looked up at him, giving him an innocent expression. "Why?"

"You're staying with me tonight, darling."

She smiled. "Absence does make your heart grow fonder, doesn't it, Junhui? See, you miss me so much you don't want to let me out of your sight for even a moment, one night."

She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hug.

"I really missed you, Junhui."

He laughed. "I was so near to drinking that potion."

"Seriously, Jun?"

Junhui moved his head slightly to look into her eyes.

They were shining, brighter than he'd ever seen before.

"You're prettier when your eyes are like that."

Seoyul laughed. "I'm not."

Jun's fingers touched her cheek, the warm touch causing her to shiver slightly.

"You're beautiful," he whispered.

"I'm not. I'll never be."

He smiled. "You are, darling."

"When did you start calling me darling?"

"Can I...can I call you that then?"

Seoyul tried to fight the blush creeping up her cheeks. "If you like."

Jun nodded happily, and leaned in.

His lips met hers gently, softly.

She didn't fight him this time.

Her eyes fluttered shut as her hands moved toward his hair, toying with the soft brown strands.

She was content to just lie like this forever.

And she could...

If only she could get his soul.

Oh, Junhui, if only you knew.

If only you knew the only thing separating us.

If only you knew that it's your soul I need, yet I absolutely refuse to touch it.

I'd rather never be with you than take your soul away from you.

So...

Never give me your soul, Junhui.

Never.
