"No!"
A glass vial crashed onto the floor in Seori's rage.
"I didn't ask for this to happen!"
Another three vials of dark purple liquid shattered on the marble tiles, the liquids mixing together and started to smoke.
Seori grabbed a device on the table and pounded on a few buttons, before a beep sound could be heard from the small speaker.
"What do you want?" A voice drawled.
"Xu Minghao! What is the meaning of this?!" She screeched into the microphone of the device.
"Seriously, woman. Calm down before you explode your own house."
"I told you to watch her! You don't seem to have done your job very well, have you? Now she's cuddling with the human and..."
"Please. You forced me to do what you wanted. Anyway, it' not as if Seoyul is in any mortal danger whatsoever. She was just having dinner with me a week ago. Apparently her love for jjajangmyeon hasn't really changed."
"I didn't ask for her love for that stupid dish," Seori sneered. "Every time I call you, you never ever gave me any information."
"And why should I?" The voice retorted. "It's not like you can't go there to see her personally."
"You know what, you're not really helping my situation at all."
"Maybe it'll help you if you just stayed out of Seoyul's business. She knows what she's doing."
Seori slammed the device down. "That's why I hate you. You always side with my sister. Do you not care about me?"
"You should ask yourself if you have ever cared about me."
"Xu Minghao, you're despicable!" Seori screamed as the receiver clicked. She chucked it back on the desk as she stared at the smoking liquids on the floor.
Her lips curved into a smirk, then a sneer.
"My dear sister."
She picked up a bottle of neon green liquid and poured one drop onto the purple mixture.
The liquid hissed as it touched the mixture, then it fizzled, before it created a small opening on the floor that slowly revealed a dark void.
"I've been searching for this for years."
Seori flicked a piece of broken glass into the opening, watching as the darkness swallowed it whole.
"Everyone recognises you as the most powerful woman without their soulmate bond."
She picked up yet another piece of glass and dropped it inside. The darkness lapped it up, the glass gone within an instant.
"Then you found your soulmate, so it seems."
Seori lifted a small, black crystal into her hand.
"You've wasted a lot of your power, Seoyul. You'll never get as close to finding this. Even your own soul, so much darker than mine, knows it."
She held the crystal ever so carefully towards the void.
Darkness surrounded her as the crystal emanated an eerie, cold sensation.
"What if I become the most powerful one without a soulmate?"
That night, in the alternate universe, no one escaped the grasp of nightmares.
a/n
just so you know seoyul and seori technically live in another universe so i'll just call it alternate so you know it's not where junhui lives or whatever
yet another filler but it's just so you know what seori is after for and to reveal another character, and to be fairly honest minghao doesn't do much till the later parts of the story...he wasn't even supposed to come out in this part...seriously minghao is gonna get a bit confusing later on so...(shrugs shoulders)
so yeah, thanks for reading!
