"Seoyul?" Jun asked.

She looked up at him.

Gosh, her eyes were probably really red right now.

"What's this?" He held the crumpled paper up for her to see.

Kim Seoyul, steady yourself. Stop crying like a baby all the time.

Seoyul wiped away her tears and faced him.

"If I can take your soul, we can..." she stopped.

Do not cry.

"We can?" Jun pressed on.

"B...Be...together."

Jun looked like he wanted to say something, but he kept silent.

"Do you want my soul?" He asked, quietly.

She shook her head violently.

"Even if it means we'd be together?" He sounded sad, like that was the only thing that really mattered.

"To be honest, I'd rather never be with you than to see you without your soul," Seoyul whispered.

She could feel the warm tears flowing down her cheeks again.

"I'm sorry."

She turned away from him, not daring to look at him again.

She didn't want to see his reaction.

"I'm going back tonight. I...I don't know what I'd do if I stayed here longer." She said it quietly, softly.

She didn't need to turn around to know what Jun's expression was.

All she heard, however, was a simple "okay".

That made her break down and cry all over again.

He left the room, leaving Seoyul all alone with her thoughts.

One statement reverberated through her head the whole time.

I'm such a horrible girlfriend.

She didn't know how long she'd stayed, lying in the bed.

All she knew was that when she woke up, it was late in the night already.

She knew she'd slept, but for how long she wasn't sure.

She was hungry; she hadn't eaten dinner at all. She was a little thirsty and decided she'd go outside to find some of Junhui's snack stashes. He hid them all over the place anyway, it'd be simple to find them.

Surely Jun wouldn't mind if she just took a packet of his favourite jelly snacks, right?

Anyway he'd be sleeping, she told herself. He might not even notice.

She sat up slowly, and noticed the figure sitting on the chair, staring out of the window.

"Junhui."

The name escaped her lips before she could stop herself.

He turned, the hint of a smile on his face.

"You didn't leave."

"I was sleeping for so long." She pointed out.

Jun strode to her bed and sat down next to her. "It's a good thing though. I would have felt miserable without you."

Seoyul's heart melted a little hearing that.

She shifted to make more room for him. He was so much bigger in size than she was.

"Did you stay up all night waiting for me?"

The clock on her bedside table read 11.30.

He laughed. "I tried sleeping. Obviously I failed."

She looked down and smiled.

She could feel her heart beat faster as Jun reached for her hand, intertwining their fingers together.

She remembered that her hand had fitted so perfectly in his.

She remembered how he'd taken her first kiss away from her. Not that she was complaining.

That was probably the best day of her life.

He looked so ethereal, with the little light flowing from the window shining down on him. His skin shone lightly, as if tempting her to touch it.

She couldn't bear the temptation anymore. Her free hand moved toward his face, cupping his jaw.

"Seoyul?" He whispered.

Seoyul said nothing, but moved closer to him and placed her lips silently on his. Her hand slid from his jaw to his hair, running her fingers through it.

Jun didn't move away from her, instead quietly returning her kiss and slipping his own free hand behind her neck.

Their other hands were still clasping the other, the fingers still remaining entwined.

Seoyul let their embrace end reluctantly, only for Jun to pull her into his arms. She felt so comfortable, so happy, so safe.

"You're perfect, Junhui," she mumbled.

"Speak up, darling. I can't hear you."

She groaned, knowing he was doing this on purpose.

"Wen Junhui, you're perfect. Wen Junhui, you're everything I ever wanted."

He didn't say anything, but used his fingers to trace the outline of her spine. Her skin burned at his gentle touch, yet it made her crave more.

"You're beautiful."

She raised her hands in protest. "No, I..."

"Shhh," he silenced her with his finger. "Stop saying these things about yourself."

"But, Junhui, I..."

Junhui leaned in and took her lips in his. Catching her by surprise.

The kiss was soft, even a little timid.

Seoyul didn't know what made her do it, but she began to bite on his lip playfully. She slowly moved past his lips and let her tongue touch his.

Uncharacteristacally, he whined. She had never heard him whine before, so it sounded strange, unfamiliar to her.

Their tongues slowly intertwined, as if they'd decided that fighting for dominance wasn't something worth their time. They savoured the feeling, the feeling of such intimate contact.

The kiss slowed, becoming gentler than earlier, yet none of them seemed to want to pull away.

All Seoyul's worries disappeared. She was happy, happy to feel this moment of pure bliss and enjoy it.

She didn't know that that bubble of bliss would soon burst.
