Jun stayed silent. He could tell Seoyul was still outside the cage of vines. He could tell she was in a great state of hurt.

His fingers brushed the ground slightly, allowing a purple vine to emerge from the ground, wrapping itself around his wrist. He smiled sadly. His powers were way too strong for even him to control.

"I'm not leaving, Jun." He heard Seoyul's voice loud and clear.

Should have known. He knew she wouldn't go down without a fight.

"You want to see what I can do, darling?" Jun called to her. "I can create vines with just the flick of my wrist...as easily as I could kill. I'm a monster now."

"If you're a monster, then you can be my monster."

Jun's eyes widened, his jaw going slack. He had never expected Seoyul to say anything like that, even he couldn't come up with something similar when Seoyul had called herself a monster. His control crumbled, as did his focus, as the vine slowly slithered back into the ground.

"Don't say things like that," he mumbled, flustered.

He felt her touch the vines. His soul felt every little tremor of her hand as she brushed her fingers against the plants.

"Just come out, Jun. Please." He heard her beg.

He couldn't resist her call, no matter how much he wanted to. Slowly, one by one, the vines dropped and sank back into the ground.

Seoyul dashed to him, and threw herself into his arms before he could stop her. He wrapped his arms around her body, holding her tightly. He had missed her, no matter how much he tried to deprive himself of her.

"It's dangerous for me to be close to anyone now, darling," he whispered into her ear. "I don't want to harm you...I don't know if I can control it."

Seoyul looked up into his brown eyes. "We can deal with this together, Jun. Isolating and hiding yourself isn't the answer. We can find someone to teach you to control and hone your powers without harming anyone else. We can find a way to keep your new powers unknown. We can discover ways to solve our problems, Jun. And I'll be there for you every step of the way."

Jun smiled slowly. "You sure?"

"Are you doubting our capabilities, Wen Junhui?"

Jun's smile grew wider, and he leaned down to kiss her.

Heat flared between them as the kiss deepened, their lips moulding into each other's. It was bliss, to hold each other close like that, to know they were together no matter what.

Seoyul broke the kiss and smiled. "Come home with me, Junhui."

Jun nodded, and lowered his head again...

"I should have known I would find you two lovebirds together."

Startled, Seoyul pushed Jun away, jerking her head violently to face Seori. Her sister was gripping an icicle carved into a sword-like weapon, and her icy glare was not missed by the both of them.

"What do you want?" Jun held Seoyul close to his chest, his dark wings spreading in anticipation of what was next.

Seori twirled the weapon effortlessly. "What else? Your powers, of course. I tried in vain for so long to master the powers of the Darkness, only to find that I had lost those powers due to an apparent mistake of pushing a mere human into the Darkness' claim."
Her lips morphed into a scowl. "Years and years of efforts and time and energy, all down the drain because of my one mistake."

"That has nothing to do with Jun, Seori! He never asked for the powers." Seoyul shot back at her.

Seori's glare turned to Seoyul, her weapon raised to point straight at Seoyul's heart. "It all started with you. Everything has to do with you. You fell in love with him, Minghao brought him to your house, I brought him to this very cave...all these events were caused by you. The reason he has the Darkness' powers, the reason I lost my claim on thise powers, is all because of you! You ruined my life from the beginning...but no matter. You've ruined your boyfriend's life a way lot more." Her scowl slowly vanished, replaced by an evil smirk.
