Jun held onto the handlebars of the treadmill, panting after his run. It had been a while since he had properly excercised, and he needed to do that in order to make sure he could still model.
If he wasn't a model, he might have actually chosen to not excercise. He would rather be with Seoyul, but he understood that if he was with her, she wouldn't be able to get out of the house beyond a certain range because of the dangers outside.
Jun pulled a towel off the rack near him and dried his damp hair. When he had gone back to work he had packed some of his clothes to bring back to Seoyul's house, so that he could be with her for longer.
The longer he stayed with Seoyul, the stranger things seemed to become. Her one room had many tiny rooms attached to it, all controlled with a little keypad stuck on the wall. Keying in a particular code would open doors to different rooms, one of which was Seoyul's personal gym, which had a treadmill and a yoga mat.
How could so many secrets be hidden in one two-storey house?
He stepped out of the gym, took a quick shower and got dressed, and plopped himself onto her mini sofa. Jun spotted her leaning forward against the railings of her balcony, staring wistfully into the open space before her. His heart ached to touch her, to hold her. Closing his eyes, he envisioned himself behind her on the balcony.
True enough, his teleportation skills had yet to let him down.
His arms snaked around her waist, pulling her closer until her back was pressed against his body. He felt her shiver slightly and he smiled. His lips lowered to her ear.
"What are you thinking about, my darling?"
A smile played on her lips. "I'm not sure. Mostly about you," she confessed.
"Me?" He closed his eyes to concentrate on her presence.
"I think about you everyday, Jun. Even when you're not here, I still think about you. I've been thinking about you ever since I met you."
"You do?" His eyelids fluttered open.
"Of course." Seoyul turned, cupping his cheek with her hand. "I always have."
Jun smiled. She could always stir deep emotions within him.
"Why can't you...you know, go out?"
Seoyul pointed towards the street below them. "Seori placed some sort of thing around the house, so I can't go beyond the little shophouses there. I can still cross the road to get my food and necessities from the shops, but I can't go futher than that."
"Then how did Minghao get here? How did I come here?"
"Well, if she blocked off the road, people would complain and she would have been sued and imprisoned by now. So the barrier only works on me. I get a tiny shock to my skin when I get close."
Jun averted his gaze to the road below. There were quite a number of people around, and there was a small supermarket selling groceries.
"How'd you even survive almost imprisonment?" His heart hurt for what she had been through.
Seoyul tapped her finger on the railing. "It's nothing. I got used to it. Minghao came to visit often, so I wasn't too lonely."
"You should've asked him to ask me to come look for you."
"At the time I thought you were dead. I didn't check properly, I just assumed you were...gone." Seoyul explained. "Had I known you were alive this whole time of course I would have asked you to come."
Jun brushed some of her hair away from her face so he could see her properly. "At least we're together now."
Seoyul sighed happily. "Yes, of course."

Seori peered over the icicle cage she had created.
A swirling dark flame burned, consuming all the tiny pieces of ice that surrounded it. It was green near its core, giving off an eerie feeling.
Fortunately for Seori, Minghao had not spotted the dark fire she had been hiding. She didn't need him going off to Seoyul and telling her all about it.
"How is Seoyul even going to do anything? Her energy is depleting every single day. Even so, Minghao is powerless. He can't do anything."
Seori smiled to herself. She had a plan.
And she was going to make sure it worked.
