Third Person POV

A year later, Evan was a freshman in college. He lived at home during the summer so he could get credits at the community college. ((i think that's what he does in the musical))

Exactly one year ago, Connor overdosed in the park. Ellison State Park. The one Evan had also tried to end his life in. Connor had succeeded.

Evan never really knew why he did it. He just hoped that The Connor Project, created by Evan, Zoe, Jared, and Alana, would help another kid. He hoped that that kid would find the next branch and keep climbing until he saw the sun.

He took out the box with the letter in it. He read it again, searching and scanning for answers in every line. Then he noticed something at the bottom.

Evan, not Zoe

Connor's handwriting. What did that even mean?

He read over it again and again. Then he realized, "all my hope is pinned on Zoe," except Evan, not Zoe.

He turned over on his bed and held the letter to his chest.
