Crazy Love

Chapter Two

~Entry 8/15/14:

It's been a week since school started back. Derek and I started talking again the first day of summer break. We've had our ups and downs but we talked through it. I feel as if my love is getting stronger for him and- "HEYO!" Derek said laughing. "You jerk I was busy!" I said. He was still laughing when he said, "Well. What was so important you had to call me a jerk?" I stared at him as I put my journal in my backpack. I can't help but stare at him. He has perfect brown hair, blue/green eyes, and his smile can light up my world. He's wearing a red American eagle shirt, some shorts and his usual tennis shoes.

"What are you staring at boo?" Derek said catching my attention. Feeling my cheeks turn a bright shade of red I said, "I don't know yet Dweeb." We laughed as we went to the band room after another day of practice.

•Derek's POV•

I can't stop thinking about her. I think I love her. She's got me again. I never thought I'd feel this way about her again. But she's so beautiful and her personality is so unique. I have a girlfriend. Her name is Alayna Darty. I like her a lot, but I don't think I love her. I don't know. It's complicated. A- "Hey Dweeb." I opened my eyes to see Tavonda standing in front of me with a confused look on her face. "Is something wrong?" I asked. "No. You just look a little...stressed that's all." She said. I noticed she looked as if she had been crying. Concerned I asked, "Tavo. Are you ok? Is something wrong?" She gave me a look that said you're not going to believe me and she said, "Yes. I'm fine." There it was. The way she said fine. She was not ok.

•Tavonda's POV•

I was walking to my locker when I saw Derek. It looked like he was deep In thought but I still decided to say hi. "Hey Dweeb." He opened his eyes as I said that and I was wondering if something was wrong. He caught my look of confusion and asked, "Is something wrong?" I thought for a minute and answered, "No. You just look a little...stressed that's all." He stared at me for a few minutes then said, "Tavo. Are you ok? Is something wrong?" I looked at him and tried to look happy. I had been crying only because some people were being mean to me. "Yes. I'm fine." I said. He looked at me in disbelief knowing something was wrong.

"Liar. Tavo, you can tell me anything you know. I'm here for you. Ok?" Derek said. All I did was stare. I was in love with him. "Ok." I said trying not to cry. He pulled me into a hug just as the bell rang signaling us to class.

•Derek's POV•

*next day*

I saw Tavonda first thing today when I got to school. "Hey boo." I said walking to her. As if lost in thought she snapped back to reality and said, "oh. Hey I didn't see you, sorry." She was blushing. When her face turned that bright shade of red her blue eyes always stood out. That's why I loved it when she blushed. "What's up?" I asked. "Nothing much. What about you Dweeb?" I laughed and said, "Same as you Boo."
