My little girl is due this month. I can't have her DNA tested until she is born. Derek...I miss him. We've talked only a few times. He's supposed to come over today to help me move. I got a new house a few minutes away from here and it's really nice.
"Hey." Derek said. "Hey." I said as I looked at my feet. "You've got a bump going on don't you?" he said. "Oh. Yeah. She's due this month." I said. "She?" he said sounding somewhat excited. "Yeah. It's a girl." I said looking at him then back at my feet. I have a killer headache so I went to the kitchen and took two pain pills. "You ready to start packing?" Derek asked with a heart melting smile. I nodded as I felt myself blush. Damn.
My headache did nothing but get worse and I felt dizzy. I put my hand on the wall to steady myself. "Are you ok?" Derek asked. I didn't respond because I couldn't. I fell to my knees as I saw darkness engulfing my vision.

•Derek's POV•
I looked at Tavonda and noticed she didn't look too good. "Are you ok?" I asked. When she hit the floor I panicked. I picked her up and went to the car. I heard her screaming in agony and I drove as fast as possible.
"What's wrong with her?! is she alright? What about the baby? is my baby ok?!" I was screaming. I don't know why I said it. 'My baby'. It might be mine. If she was telling the truth. But I don't know. I was panicking. I don't care anymore. I do believe her. It is my baby. I hope they're both ok. I can't stand the thought of losing both of them. I can't stand the thought of losing one of them.
"Mr.Wilkins?" the doctor asked. "Yes!" I jumped out of my seat. "I need you to follow me please." he said. "Okay. Are they ok? please doc. I need to know how my girls are." I said. He didn't answer. I'm scared but excited.
I walk in the room to hear crying. A baby. "Derek." I hear Tavonda say softly. "Yes baby?" I said as I walked to her and saw her holding the baby. "She's ours." I said. "You believe me?" she asked. "Yes. I do. I love you. I'm sorry for what I did." I said as I got on my knees beside the bed. "It's ok. I love you too." She said with tired eyes. "What's her name?" I asked with excitement. "Nevaeh." She said as she caressed the small child's little face. "That's beautiful." I said. "C-can I hold her?" I stuttered. Tavonda looked at me with excitement. "Yes!" she whisper-yelled. With shaky hands I took my daughter into my arms. She opened her little blue eyes and wrapped her tiny little hand around my finger. Before I even realized it I was sitting in the chair beside the bed crying with my baby in my arms. She looks just like her mommy. She's beautiful. She's my baby. "You got lucky Derek." The doctor said. "That baby right there is yours. We had her tested before we came to get you. You weren't supposed to be able to-"
"Yes. I wasn't supposed to. But how?" I cut the doctor off. "Well. Seems it's just a miracle from god. I'm sorry you two but I have more patients to tend to. Have a nice night. Nurse is on call." The doctor said before leaving. "I love you so much Tavonda." I said. "I love you too Derek." She said smiling. "I love you too, Nevaeh."
