~Entry 1/19/15

It's been a few weeks since my parents...and my brother died. Derek's birthday was two days ago and we stayed at my house and watched Netflix. I'm moving today. I don't know where to so I gu- "Hey beautiful." Derek said. I looked at him and said, " Hey Dweeb." He looked at me for a few minutes before I finally asked, "Is something wrong?"

"No" he said blankly. There was silence for a while before I spoke up, "I guess I'm gonna have to find a foster home." Derek looked up in shock and said, "...or you could move in with me." I turned and glared at him. "What. It's better than being surrounded by people you don't know."

"Yeah. It would be. But-"

"My mom doesn't care I've already talked to her. I told her what has happened and that you're an..." I looked at him waiting for him to finish. "I'm a what Derek?" he looked at me like I was going to be mad. "That you're an orphan." He said. "I am an orphan. And it's fine. I need to accept that they're...gone." I said as I tried not to cry.

•Derek's POV•

I pulled Tavonda into a hug as she cried. I let her cry. She had every reason to. "I love you. It'll be ok I promise I'll always be here." I said. She looked at me with her tear stained face and said, "I love you too Derek. You're all I have left. I need you."
